  1. Have a gander here at this special offer. viewtopic.php?f=128&t=45625 Very surprised at the low uptake as afaik you all have leather!! Cheers Tim
  2. Thanks Stew, thats nice to hear
  3. ^Yeah yeah, they made the whole job IMHO. NO doubt you'll be wanting a free set in the post Kind of you to mention it, and much appreciated by the way.
  4. None of the above lol! This is funny timing viewtopic.php?f=128&t=45625 For feedback on the list above (OP's post) I have used the Zymol (good) and the Autoglym (not good in my opinion) but no experience of the Mer product. As Dave has mentioned it above the Gliptone is good, has a nice smell but is quite a "thick" product to use especially at this time of year. HTH Tim
  5. Good to see the Meg's bucket in the background there Geo. Get her a vikan multibrush for the scooter I better watch out seeing as she's local (still most of my work is not local actually!!)
  6. EEk that is a scary thread. Wheels like that I am always very careful with. Worry about scratching them for starters, then would probably only try to clean with soap and water.Lovely looking wheels tho Tim ps what was the end result btw?!
  7. Not any good on chrome, bare metal wheels but should be fine on all painted surfaces. If you want something 100% safe on everything I'd look at the Wolfs Chemicals (but they are not dilutable, and dont offer the same value as the Espuma Revolution does).
  8. Daryl the Bilberry only dilutes 4:1 and is more expensive in the 1st place!! I have tried it myself when it was 1st launched, believed all the hype but ended up disappointed. Rev is the way to go Phil, glad you took the advice but I'm more glad your pleased with the product and get on well with it. Best wishes Tim
  9. Oy, I was the first to recommend cillit lime and grime LOL sorry mate, credit where credits due:)
  10. Try to soak as much as possible, and save the rubbing and scrubbing to be a last resort if you can. Cheers Tim PS love the SpursMadDave cillit bang comment...but personally I'd not risk it
  11. Ouch, thats not the best now is it?! Thanks to Martin (for the text!) and Chris for the PM's. My 1st suggestion would be to try vinegar, not sure if white or malt is better but just try vinegar. it normally works very well for limescale and try it diluted 1st. Spray it on with a trigger bottle, allow to penetrate then rinse off. Try to avoid scrubbing and best course is to try and soak it off, hopefully the rust marks will go too. Once the worst is off follow it up with a thorough wash, then clay, cleanse and seal after. I guess its a lesson learnt, but hopefully recoverable and park elsewhere Best of luck and keep us posted please. Best wishes Tim
  12. Thanks very much Wayne, will be in the post to you tomorrow.Love to hear your feedback on it. By the sounds of it it should do 2 jobs in one,ill let you know how it goes. It does indeed Wayne, but as you know everyone has different opinions on how well stuff works/or doesnt work so its useful to get opinions other than my own
  13. Thanks very much Wayne, will be in the post to you tomorrow.Love to hear your feedback on it.
  14. Hi Phil, the code would have worked if you'd ordered the Dodo Lime Prime or lime prime lite I did however (before reading this above) do you a nice discount on the order anyway as a thankyou for the repeat business Best wishes Tim ps you have an email
  15. Sheesh Craig! You shouted the loudest at wanting to get your hands on the G220 1st and now you tell us this confession...fair weather detailer
  16. No problem at all Phil. Yes once you've ultimate compounded you should only need Lime prime lite from there on in, but its recommended usage is bi-annually so you wount have to do it too often. I have another yellow pad, if you want me to put one to one side? Wheel cleaner wise depends if you have chrome or a non standard finish? If you have the standard powder coated wheels I'd recommend Espuma Revolution which comes in 1 or 5L sizes, dilutes 10:1 and I love it. https://www.envyvaleting.com/products_info.asp?id=152 If you do have more exotic wheels I'd suggest one of the Wolfs Chemicals products. 1 is a straight forward cleaner https://www.envyvaleting.com/products_info.asp?id=239 works well, smells vile and is 1L volume but its not dilutable The other they do is a clean and coat, https://www.envyvaleting.com/products_info.asp?id=240 Personally speaking I'd suggest going for something like the Revolution, and get a special sealent as in the long run will work out to be better value https://www.envyvaleting.com/products_info.asp?id=255 I know the rim sealent seems a small bottle but you use so little per application and I've been impressed with it in testing. Cheers Tim
  17. Hi Phil, I'd recommend Dodo Juice Lime prime if the paint is less than perfect ie the odd swirl/scratch/oxidation etc. If the paint is pretty swirl free I'd plump for Lime prime lite. Lime prime has microabrasives, and the lime prime lite doesn't. You can find them both in my shop https://www.envyvaleting.com/products_info.asp?id=125 https://www.envyvaleting.com/products_info.asp?id=113 I've not got round to upping the VAT yet, so at last years prices still and if you use the code 350z at checkout you'll get a nice Brucie bonus Cheers Tim
  18. If there is enough interest I can possibly do another group buy like I've done in the past viewtopic.php?f=128&t=42307
  19. Hi Ryan the 3m's are very versatile. I use Fast cut plus and Ultrafina the most. Hardly use the yellow top one. Often use a 50/50 mix of Ultrafina and fast cut plus for corrections. Personally I dont get on with the menzerna polishes but I know some do.
  20. Yeah they did say chalk is a common filler, but they use no fillers and no chalk.
  21. i have already done this but used silicone sealant instead. its not the fact that the bristles fell out that pi**ed me off the most its the fact that they said their stuff is just as good as all the more expensive stuff but cheaper. well the 2 preducts i got from there that i have used so far have been utter sh*te. hope the rest is better. Give them a ring tomorrow mate and they'll sort you out a new one, no quibbles.Speak to Tom or Jim on 08702 416696
  22. Thanks to all those who braved the weather and made it up to Meguiars yesterday Nice to meet some new faces, names to usernames, cars to names etc etc! It was a good turnout, and Megs were impressed with the standard of the cars and the knowledge you all had already and they all said it made a nice refreshing change for them! As you'll have now seen, thats why I like to do business with them. No pressure and no nonsense advice, and they are happy to show you their skills/products/facilities and enjoy doing so. Chris, regarding the PTG issue, their polishes like the Ultimate compound and Swirl X are classed as not very abrasive (but as those there saw, very effective) and have small particle size so classed as safe for DA use and TBH you'd have to have the polisher at full speed and sit on it for it do do any damage. They did however recognise work with a rotary is a different animal, but I know you know that Once again, thanks to you all for your interest Tim
