  1. Just a brief write up today. Nice GT3 thats been seen on here before, but this time she was in for an inside and out detail. Spent the last few weeks at the 'Ring and a track in Belgium (who's name escapes me) So, some dirty wheels and well splatted flies to begin with! Wheels washed with AS smartwheels and Envy brushes, foamed with Bubbly Jubbly and then washed with TBM, Espuma Astro shampoo and the trusty Z sponge! Dried and ready for the next stage Paint cleansed with SW CF Opaque, then waxed with SW Opaque. 50/50 So, to sum up.... Before After Before After Beading! Thanks for looking Tim
  2. Hey all! Apologies for the lack of posts from me of late. Been doing a lot of running around. Anyway it gives me great pleasure to announce that I have managed to secure a detailing seminar at Meguiars HQ in Daventry on the 27th November 2010. Its one of the 1st of the year and I've had to sit on this news til now. Its basically a morning where you get to meet at Meguiars, they give an excellent presentation on how to look after your car then you get to try their intimidating light tunnel, use products for yourselves and of course buy some products too! Official blurb is below, spaces are strictly limited to 25 and we will be taking deposits of £10 (refundable on the day when you turn up..sadly when I have run this for other forums people put their names down, take a slot then dont bother to turn up on the day ) It is a winter only seminar as they are too busy in the summer doing shows. You will need to be at their HQ by 10.00 on the 27th and the location is http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=45 ... &A=Y&Z=110 Thank you for your interest in our Detailing Seminars. Hosting "Workshops" or seminars for car enthusiasts is an important part Meguiar's everyday global activity. In the UK we have spoken at many club regional and national meeting venues about Meguiar's automotive surface care. In the summer months, weather and venue permitting, we follow our PowerPoint presentation with some hands-on practice of techniques and products on a members car, typically in the car park. With the recent move to our new facilities in Daventry, it is now possible for us to host such events almost entirely indoors, in optimal conditions. Our seminars consist of:- •A 45 minute presentation of "Best Practice" in the Training Room. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and hopefully dispel a few myths. •An hour or so working on a visitor's car in our Detailing Bay to demonstrate products and techniques and give visitors an opportunity to try for themselves. •Every visitor receives a pack of sachet samples to take away. We aim to attract enthusiasts with a passion for making their car look the best it possibly can. When such people have experienced Meguiar's products for themselves, they invariably become advocates for our brand. In the final analysis our motives are entirely selfish. Our facilities can accommodate 20-25 people, and we will provide refreshments during the morning. We aim to start the seminar at 10am. 1) Envy Valeting (Tim)
  3. OK so who did I speak to on the Isle of Man today? You were up for the 07.00 run round the TT course Nice to meet you at "The Sound" at lunchtime.....
  4. Its ok and is good for light marring etc but not heavy filling.
  5. Thankyou Wayne.I dont think so on your car tbh, a darker car for sure though if swirls are an issue but no time or desire to correct. Do you have any of the darker colour charged Dodo waxes such as Blue Velvet or Purple Haze? I'll have some with me at Zedfest if you want to stick your finger in a few pots
  6. Thanks. The point of the LP and the black hole was too see how good I could get it without machining it. I applied by PC but with a pretty soft pad for speed. The owner is undecided on the correction front, so he'll see how it looks over the next few months and possibly I'll correct it later in the year.
  7. Hey Russ Just a protection detail with interior too. The point of the LP and the black hole was too see how good I could get it without machining it. The owner is undecided on the correction front, so he'll see how it looks over the next few months and possibly I'll correct it later in the year.
  8. Washed and dried as per normal. Clayed with Dodo gentle grey Cleansed with Lime prime and topped off with a whizz over with black hole. Waxed with Dodo Juice Supernatural wax... Thanks for looking Tim
  9. Dodo Juice shampoo's are great, but you cant beat the Halfords offers at the moment. I'd get down there and buy the Gold class you mentioned. I stock it, use it and its a great shampoo. IMHO its better than the NXT version as well.
  10. https://www.envyvaleting.com/products_info.asp?id=21 Any good to you?!
  11. Just afters from a Skyline I did at the weekend. A straightforward protection detail, no correction. Too pretty not to take some pics Thanks for looking. Tim
  12. I think Halfords and B+Q are doing Karcher deals at the moment on the pressure washer. Autobrite who I do the Snow foam and lance deals with my do a deal on pressure washers too but they will be a lot dearer than domestic models possibly!
  13. Genuine by the way..... Speed write up today for you. A nice AC Cobra superlight 4 from last week. In for a full correction detail, times a bit tight as its my son's 3rd birthday today but I wanted to share this beauty. Nightmare shape to correct btw! 1st try combo 2nd try Refined Took all of day 1 to do the back end! Day 2 1st time I've tried the wax. Smells a bit like chocolate/coffee. Easy on and off too! All done: A nice treat to do this car and hope you like the end results! Wax feedback wise, good stuff, great price and nice smell. Tim
  14. Yeah its because you are using a detergent bottle and not a decent lance mate.I have a GB in the Envy Valeting trader section. You can get a decent lance and another 10L of SSF for £63 delivered
  15. I use Espuma crystal green. Comes in 5L bottles and is only £14
  16. You are welcome to borrow my PW, foam lance and SSF but on the condition that when you are amazed by it, you place an order with me and I'll sort you out a great deal Paul!
  17. Good old Henry here for me Bullet proof, bags are cheap and he's got a nice face Buy the Numatic (ie unbranded henry) and its cheaper. eBay's the place for em....
  18. Looks very good Paul. I tend to use the Renovo stuff, but another option to try is always good to know
