  1. Looks a lovely job, and excellent pics too.
  2. Looks a good buy that, and I'm glad they've been sensible with bottle sizes cos you'll never use the Power Gloss The other 2 you will fly through!
  3. Here you go.... viewtopic.php?f=22&t=31765 Sorry it took a while to get the go ahead.. Tim
  4. Try Tim of Envy Valeting,he should be able to help with a snow foam lance. Cheers Wayne, I use Autobrite and have been negotiating with them for a very good rate on a lance, 10L of foam and delivery and early indications are it could be under £60...fingers crossed.
  5. Seeing as I'm snowed in I thought I'd do a couple of write ups from last week! Yup back to work on the official bank holiday for Boxing day...no rest OK, nothing too unusual about the process for the BMW. Wheels with Envy brushes and Espuma Revolution, foam with Bubbly Jubbly, rinse and wash with Espuma Astro, rinse and dry. Clay with Dodo gentle grey, cleanse with Lime prime via the PC, waxed with Swissvax Saphir. Real snow in the snow foam Dried off with a Dry U Quick towel, sticks like the proverbial to the car. The grip on the cars surface is amazing! New from Autobrite, many thanks to Mark for the more than generous box of goodies he sent for me to evaluate. If we ever get above freezing down here there are a lot of reviews to be done! Enjoy the afters: Day 2: Back to do the Civic, looking a little sad. Same process as the BMW but with the addition of a coat of AS Platinum between the Lime Prime and the waxing, cos the paint looked VERY Honda (if you get what I mean ) Wax...well I opted for a cheap wax...NOT. Enjoy the afters: Reviews wise: The Autobrite Berry Blast Endurance Tyre gel smelt great, found it easy to use and apply and I think it will be a winner. The Dry U Quick towel was very good, sucked up a fair old amount of water and rung out very nicely. The Glass towels I also got seem to be excellent. Best wishes Tim
  6. Looks great Wayne Not got above freezing here for the last few weeks. Had real snow from my foam lance last week LOL!
  7. 2 from Switzerland from last month. TVR Chimaera and an Audi RS4 Avant (a special Swiss derivative). Both given the full Swissvax treatment, wash, clay, cleanse and waxed with Crystal Rock. Both are protection details and no correction performed! Before I get jumped upon the Audi has matt black tailpipes hence not "polished up" Swissvax CF medium by G220...not a correction remember! RS4 are afters only Best wishes Tim
  8. Not getting a lot of time to post up cars but keeping busy so here are a few protection details from the last couple of weeks. Z4 in Ruby black, didn't photograph very well but had a full Swissvax detail and finished off with the customers own BOS pot. BMW 530D in Carbon black, excellent place to work for business enquiries LOL Too much chatting and very dark early. Finished off with Dodo Juice Blue Velvet Lamborghini Gallardo, wash and wax only basic job but used a wax of a certain Vintage. An ex Miracle car. The owner took us up the motorway to dry it off, mmm lovely! Porsche 993 Turbo. Full inside and out Swissvax detail. Finished off with BOS. Had snow, rain, sleet and hail on this job and got very cold! This car is for sale. If anyone is interested let me know ok. Cheers Tim
  9. Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 2..this ones in Perlato white. Envy Valeting vs Lancia Delta paint correction detail, as a lot of you will know I adore these and will have one soon....one day soon.. A Swissvax detail (mainly) Been waiting for this now for a while but very pleased to get on it this week. I LOVE these cars LOVE LOVE LOVE them..... Ok to work..some befores showing the new wheels Wheels were cleaned with Espuma Revolution @ 10:1 with Envy Brushes, then onto the Bubbly Jubbly SSF. This little beauty took a very thorough clean as has not had a good wash in a while. A lot of ingrained dirt. After the SSF it was onto the Espuma Astro with the Z sponge, rinsed and dried Indoors and get the heaters on Next the car was clayed with Dodo Juice Gentle grey and this took me 4hrs to do the little beauty. Sore hands and wrists after this stage. A lot of black specs that were a devil to remove. Time to get serious after I measured the paint (all good) What I was up against..as best pictured as I could. Used a real assortment of pads and polishes from all suppliers to get the best out of the paint on this job. Making progress A bit of a 50/50 And another one after doing the 2nd section of the door...best 50/50 ever?? I like it. Machined and cleansed, nearly wax time. Best of show for best car Interior before Swissvax leather cleaner and Envy Brushes put to work. Effective eh:p All done Wax was then buffed off, tailpipe polished, glass cleaned, tyres dressed etc etc. Time had crept by and it now nearly 19.30 on day 2! After pics Hope you all enjoyed this labour of love as much as I did. Time taken 20.5hrs. Tim
  10. The opaque products are for matt paint and wrapped vehicles ie it protects but is non-glossy compared to normal waxes. Its very good!
  11. It was having some work done on the front splitter and as such the front end was "off"
  12. A prime example of poor machine polishing but dont know who was responsible
  13. Many thanks, good to hera from you. I'm good thankyou
  14. One of the 1st cars to be detailed as part of a new Swissvax detailing centre near Zurich. My heartfelt thanks to the owner for allowing us to work on his beautiful car and also my thanks to Lamborghini St.Gallen for looking after us so well. OK the car was subject to a full Swissvax/Swizol detail and also some minor paint correction was carried out to the bonnet/wings as you will see why. The car was washed for us already by Lamborghini so the 1st stage for us was to take some before pictures. Please bare with the write up as its to be used all over the internet so may have some details/information that will bore you but it has to cater to the masses Now you can see why we needed to do some extensive work on the bonnet, some more pictures to make you squirm. The best/worst.. After washing the 1st stage of the process is to prepare the car using paint rubber to remove bonded contaminants such as bugs, tar, fallout and overspray to leave a silky smooth surface. Following this treatment over the whole car it was time to work on the bonnet. To remove these marks I initially tried a gentle polish but had to change to a more aggressive polish to make progress via a Dual Action Polisher (DA) Work in progress A lot better The next stage is the application of a pre wax cleanser/cleaner fluid to make sure the painted surface is squeaky clean and ready for the wax. Generally this is the longest stage of the process and makes the biggest difference to the cars appearance. We used Swissvax/Swizol Cleaner fluid. For the matt painted areas we used the new Opaque range of products as follows Once all the surfaces had been pre wax cleansed it was time for the wax. On this car we used Crystal Rock, applied and removed after 10mins. Wheels were clayed, cleansed and waxed with Autobahn wheel wax. Tyres were dressed with Pneu, glass cleaned with Crystal, and it was time to take some after shots. Please enjoy. And finally something that caught my eye. I would have bought it (yeah right..) but it was not road legal! 2 more to follow when I get time to do the write ups Thanks for looking, and if you are a Swiss or German resident and want to make a booking we are OPEN for business Best wishes Tim
  15. Hi there, welcome to the site. I'd be happy to speak to you about this Feel free to send me an email or PM about what you feel the cars problems are and what you hope a detail will achieve. Generally speaking there are 2 routes, the paint correction detail where we do our best to remove all swirls etc but not to the detriment of the car ie if you have thin paint then it would not be possible to proceed. This is where we wash, clay, measure paint thickness, machine polish, cleanse and wax. The 2nd option is the protection detail where there are no machine polishing steps but the difference in the end results between what you have now, and what you'd have at the end would be night and day (but no targeted swirl removal steps). The car is subject to a wash, clay, cleanse and wax regime and an interior tidy up Most customers go for a protection detail unless you are the kind of person who see's the swirls Anyhow get in touch and we can discuss further..... Tim
  16. Now with customer provided after pics: Thanks for looking. Tim
  17. Wish I'd have thought of that Craig! Sadly the owner was in all day so didnt have an excuse to nip off and do that tho...but will remember the tip!!!!!
  18. Deja vu on this one! Corrected a carbon black M3 earlier in the week. This job was for a full detail to bring a newly purchased car up to the owners expectations. No pressure for this job as the owners next door neighbour is a DetailingWorld regular, and the owner likes to keep cars pretty spot on too Some befores All washed The paint was freshened up with Menz final finish as although not a correction detail, I felt it needed a bit more than cleaner fluid. Waxed with an expensive one from America, interior detailed with Swissvax products and job done. The afters are rubbish as its that time of year and it was raining so apologies once again for the poor afters Thanks for looking. Tim
  19. My worst condition car of 2009 so far. Its not all supercars I was given a time limit for this job of 5 hrs due to the owners budget. I can honestly say I have never used so much Espuma G202 on any job. Leather 50/50's Some comparisons All done The owner was very pleased and stated with pride that it'd not been cleaned in 5 years! I went home and had a bio brisk bath Tim
  20. Evening all, thought I'd do a write up on this nice 52 plate M3. A recent purchase and the owner wanted the swirls gone, so thats what I did Some before's Wash process wheels cleaned with Espuma Revolution at 10:1 and Envy brushes, followed by a foaming, TwoBucketMethod and Zymol sponge etc. Dried then clayed with Dodo Juice Gentle grey and some paint measurements taken to ensure it was safe to proceed. Defects could be seen quite easily to the naked eye and were everywhere Being a BMW I reached straight away for the 3m, and used a Scholl Concepts orange pad and knuckled down.....some pick along the way.. Wheeler Dealer 308 anyone????:doublesho Making progress Weird reflections Cleaned up but no wax yet Wax of choice was Swissvax Saphir, all done..I apologise for the bad after pics. Time was getting on and daylight was gone. Strip lights were not ideal. And finally a sneak peak of a car coming to Wheeler Dealers very soon.... Thanks for looking Tim
  21. Cheers Martin Yeah I'm always up for a jaunt (and not been to Ipswich sine we went to Holland years ago lol) so if you are interested please take a look at www.envyvaleting.co.uk I'm also just going to post up an M3 I've done this week so it will have a bit about the process there too Best wishes Tim
  22. I never took any pics Stew, its just a set on Enkei's LOL! I did tell Ben that I was about 50% of the way through them at my "budget cut off point" in terms of pricing for the job LOL but there was no way I'd give them back half done so I just knuckled down and got on with it. they did come top of my worst wheels ever though I'd do his wheels again but he'd get a different quote!
  23. You're not wrong! 6hrs to clean 4 wheels but I got them like NEW and they were the roughest EVER! I made sure he took some decent wheel cleaner and rimwax
