  1. not keen on p21s either, prefer dodo or even collinite dodo layers easier and the paint pops better imo I agree 100% for the money Dodo offers fantastic products, Collinite lasts exceptionally well but doesnt have the bling of Dodo, Swissvax etc IMO
  2. I can help with that Give me a yell if you need guidance or even a detail!
  3. The customers Dad's car! A nicely prepped R33 GTR;)
  4. I agree and I do see your point and I've been Dodo Juice approved detailer and re-seller since they 1st launched and personally use more Supernatural wax in my details than Zymol Vintage BUT I do have the wax as I get asked for it. I dont rate the R222 or P21's waxes though as they dont last in terms of durability. When you charge someone £200 to do their car I and they expect the end results to last, which is why I moved away from that level of waxes. They have their place though and if you are the kind of person who doesnt mind topping up every 4-6 weeks they are aimed at that sort of customer. Best wishes Tim
  5. Hiya Craig, good to hear from you mate How are you and what are you doing now? Please email me at info@envyvaleting.co.uk if you dont mind and we'll have a catch up. Best wishes Tim
  6. £1800 pah Yes it is pricey, and I know it looks good but personally I'm not sure how much customers actually want that wax or just to be able to say the car has an £1800 wax on it?! Bar stool bragging type scenario... All I know is that if enough customers ask me about it, then its something I had/have to consider. In its favour though (price aside) is how long the finish lasts, and that is impressive.
  7. It can be difficult if the weather is humid, or too cold and the air keeps condensing moisture. The Divine car I dried about 15 times before I could wax it as the moisture kept forming! Interesting you prefer the Swissvax Divine, I'm quite taken with the Vintage! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
  8. Thats very true but this year I've been all over the place, the furthest north was Bolton and Chroley to do a nice Ferrari 246 Dino If a round trip can be made or a few in the same place it becomes more economical for all.
  9. Can you tell the differance between the 2 high end waxes?! Todays detail was something special and a chance to try out a Vintage wax on a customers car. Here she is upon arrival The wheels were cleaned with AS Smart wheels and the Swissvax and EZ detail brush, body soaked with hazsafe TFR, rinsed and then foamed with AB SSF. On this occasion I used the foam to wash the car with my bucket and grit guard and LW mitt as the paint was pretty clean. I now dried the car with my Raceglaze one pass towels, and got ready to clay. I used Polyclay and a weak shampoo mix as the lube. Generally again pretty good, just the odd tar spots here and there. I have had a sample of Dodo Juice Lime Prime lite for a little while and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to give it a blast. I decided to do it the old fashioned way, ditched the PC and used a terry towel pad and elbow grease! The car now looks like this I really think Dodo are onto a winner with this as it left the paint so silkily smooth it was unreal. I then got to the part I'd been looking forward to, the vintage wax! Applied by pad and buffed off ~15 mins after per panel. Results were astounding. I keep seeing others post pics and think it cant really be that good, but it is The exhaust tips were cleaned with autosol and wire wool Tyres were dressed with Espuma RD50, glass cleaned with AS Glass clear, interior hoovered, leather cleansed and nourished with CG all in one, plastics cleansed and dressed with Swissvax. Here are the afters, I'm blown away.... Hope you like it! Really like doing these 350z's as they are such nice shapes, and dont take forever to do...unlike the GTR thats being done tomorrow but doubt will take any pics as you have seen it before a few times;) Tim
  10. A small review of the 350's I have done this year..... OMG what an early start this morning 05.00 Jeez and road trip to Kent. Car upon arrival A typical wheel Tail pipe The wheels were cleaned with AS smart wheels and my trusty Swissvax brush, and EZ detail. I then rinsed the car over with the jet wash and then sprayed with Hazsafe, allowed to soak then rinsed from the bottom up. Car snow foamed with SSF through my autobrite HD lance and used the 2 bucket method, grit guards and LW mitt. Rinsed and dried with Raceglaze towels, and now looks like A weird day weather wise as I dried the car over 5 times. The atmospheric conditions meant that water just kept on condensing all the time. Most odd. Once semi dry the car way clayed and it was time to break out the PC and Dodo Juice Lime Prime. Buffed off and re-dried yet again a panel at a time as I applied my Swissvax Divine by pad. Always an event to get to use Divine and its the 1st time this year! I waxed no more than 2 panels at a time and buffed off as I went. By now the paint was so so smooth and looked fabulous, very slick. Post waxing I cleaned off previous paint cleansing attempts (found many SRP type traces all over it!) with the 3 in 1 Megs brush. Tail pipes were cleaned up with Autosol and wire wool Glass was cleaned externally with AS glass, alloys were waxed with ABWW, any tyres dressed with Highstyle. That pretty much concluded the externals afaik (but bound to have forgotten to mention something as so tired!) Internally Henry came out to play. Plastics were cleaned and dressed using Swissvax, internal glass cleaned with AS glass. The leather seats were cleaned with Swissvax leather cleaner followed by leather milk and came up a treat. Here are the afters: Last but not least my personal favourite which shows off Divine superbly I reckon. Cheers for looking Tim
