  1. Thanks for the kind comments pointed my way. Good to see some of the familiar faces in new surroundings..not you Paul lol. Your welcome to the brushes guys, and Graham cheers for the wheel cleaner business..did you get the spray bottle or did it disappear? Enjoy the wedding, think of it as the beginning not the end
  2. True Stew. 1 bloke on DW said "I had one of those in white" lol errr no you didnt For those that are interested here's a bit about the import version of the car:) http://www.22b.com/media_jap22b.htm
  3. Sorted, thanks!Yeah its a DeTomaso Pantera. Sounded amazing, no choke so had to hold the revs at 2K til warm!! The sound was glorious
  4. Happy to Dave, do a lot of work in Poole too.Could work well as have a car to do in Axminster, but never go that far west usually...all seems to be east or north!
  5. A special one for me to do! I used to have one myself back in the day so it was a real treat and a trip back down memory lane for me. Been looking forward to this for a long time:thumb: The victim before: Door shuts pre-sprayed with Espuma G202 APC, fuel filler area, around the boot area and wheels sprayed with Espuma Revolution at 10:1. Time for a nice covering of Espuma Activo. Wheels cleaned with Envy brushes, vikan new soft wheel brush and Espuma Revolution. Snow foam rinsed off at high pressure, door shuts and crevices cleaned out. Washed with the two bucket method, grit guards, Espuma Astro shampoo and a trusty Z sponge! Espuma TGB to de-tar the panels.. Clayed with plain water as lube and Chemical Guys blue clay. Most effective, and necessary as you can see!! Pre-wax cleanser was Swissvax CF normal via DA on a Meguiars polishing pad. Wax of choice today SWissvax BOS Left to cure for as long as it took me to hoover and clean the interior! Tailpipe was given the wirewool and Autosol treatment. Tyres dressed with Espuma RD50, glass with Espuma glass green, plastics with 303. Enjoy the afters:thumb: Thanks for looking. Tim
  6. They're called Machine sticks and i think its partly because designed to be applied/used by machine polishers. I prefer to wax by hand myself so have not tried it.
  7. Morning all. A quick apology for the lack of write ups Its all been a bit hectic for Envy. Here are a few brief details of some recent jobs we've done. Evo protection detail, protected with Dodo Juice Supernatural. ML protection detail, going back to the dealer as at the end of the lease. Quick once over with AS Platinum and polished some "go faster stripes out" too Jaguar X type pre-sale detail for my step mum, Werkstatt products used. Prepping some cars for a show, got to clean, aqua wax and put on display. There were others too but the camera went flat Fell in love with this one! The sound was something else and a real skill to drive it. Fiat 500 Abarth 2 day correction detail and inside clean up. Waxed with a vintage wax. Thanks for looking and "thats all folks" for now. Tim
  8. I'm still having problems getting logged in, taken 2 days now. Had to delete all saved info etc which is a real hassle with the online banking data!! Is there any reason why I can only log in if I delete all that info?
  9. Another special offer from my friends at Autobrite-Direct!! viewtopic.php?f=128&t=46204 Best wishes Tim
  10. Thanks to you all for your support on this one. I hope you are pleased with your purchase. This is now finished Many thanks Tim ps mods can you close this thread thanks.
  11. Sorry Rich, yes I did mean Buff Daddy and have edited accordingly...was fondly thinking of the song too!
  12. OK spoken to Meguiars and the official word on the street is they have none! They expect the V2 sometime later in the year, possibly May onwards. Of course, can still help with the Dodo machines aka Buff daddy.
  13. Yup can help with the Buff daddy and the Megs G220. As stated the Megs G220 will be replaced v shortly by Version 2 and dont expect things to get cheaper, in fact quite the opposite. I did a deal a little while ago, and can check if Meguiars still have stock (but last I heard they were running it down ready for V2) viewtopic.php?f=128&t=43485 Best wishes Tim
  14. It will burn itself off yes but if it were me I think I'd do it driving the car, and not stationary. Go for a drive to keep the airflowing, less chance of flames
  15. ^ LOL , I got a martinmac poking me with a stick!
  16. Oh no! I'd suggest something like Gunk if you have a local Halfords or if you want something that I'd use I would suggest something like Espuma G202 but you'd have to wait for the post (dont know if you use the car daily or not) Either way warm the engine a bit, soak with the product, agitate with brushes and Pressure wash off. If fully clean run up to fully warm to dry off the moisture, if not fully clean repeat as necessary. Cheers Tim
  17. Well remembered Beavis And relax mate, I have just given Tim a nudge, he has a lot of experience and I think in cases like this I would trust him a little more than an amateur like me. He will be here when he gets a minute. Cheers Martin. Sorry to hear your tale of woe Christian. As suggested by Beavis, vinegar is the route I'd try BUT no scrubbing. Just spray on and allow to soak, re-apply and see how you get on. Best wishes Tim
  18. ^Cheers for the support Rog, much appreciated
  19. ^Thanks Wayne! Yeah I can help by all means with a shopping list. Tell me your budget, what you may have already and how long/far you want to go making the car look nice There are so many products out there that are wipe on/off and quick use but dont last long in terms of how long you can get away with it before you need to re-apply, or there are products that cost a little more; and take a bit longer to apply BUT the reward is they are durable and you wont have to re-do it for another 3-6months with a decent wash regime. Tim
  20. To conclude though, yes will be great as an in-between product but that your Gliptone might not be conditioning too much anyway!
  21. Sorry to hear that, but I guess in the interest of the extra power you can be forgiven!! Good question and me thinks you've been reading Detailing World?!There was a recent case where a customer of Darryls gave some pics in a thread where some sort of reaction had occured and the gentle finger of blame was waved towards the Dr Leather wipes. Darryl investigated, along with a big tannery and they discovered the Dr leather wipes had emulsified when in contact with the previous used cleaner/conditioner and had caused some sort of odd reaction...this emulsification effect. This effect was removed with further cleaning, so all was well in the end...once the gliptone was wiped away in effect. The interesting conclusion tho was that the gliptone was not actually penetrating the leather (conditioner part anyway) or this emulsification would not happen!! All I can say is good on Dr Leather for looking into it both with the products and speaking direct to the tannery etc. Good customer service. I'll try to find the thread and link it for you... Initial problem thread http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/s ... p?t=201671 Part 2 of the thread http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/s ... p?t=202378 Hope thats of use Stew Best wishes Tim
