I thought that, but when I looked, i couldnt see anything on them saying outside or inside. Iv got a pair of Avons that say that, but I couldnt see it on the Falkens.

I doubt Williams could afford him to be honest. (Even Frank said that after the race) In honestly, i think if Ferrari dont get 2nd in the constructors this year, Domenicalli will get sacked, and Ross will get the job. He has previous there, he knows the people, they know him, and he may take soem key people with him.

Suzanne the LS3 6.2 V8! Caution very long build thread....
Daryl replied to Wasso's topic in Member Build Projects
Amazing looking car Ian, good effort. Not sure on your ground clearnace though, how does it handle when its that low? Thats 2 sexy Azures now. Sorry, sexier Azures..... -
Well I took it back for them to bleed the brakes again after the MOT, but even after just the MOT, yes the pedal feel was alot better. With credit to them, they handled it all very well. Not saying thats your problem, just thought id mention it. You can check yourself if the hoses are tight. I think its just the nature of the set up that it takes abit of heat in the pads and discs to get some decent feel out of the system. Looking at this tread, there are far too many people "suffering" from the same issue for it to be a mechanical issue on your car. One thing i did get, was nasty ring around the edge of my rear discs, after pulling the pads out, there was debris of some sorts in the slots (exactly the same both sides and looked like pad material), may this was to do with cool down or over heating.

Way too low for my liking, jack it up 15mm and it would look alot better

Is it possible to swap the 452's from the LH side to the RH side? Im replacing the RH front tyre for a brand new one, and was thinking that as the LH one is more worn, due to living in MK, then If i could put the new one on the LH side, i can even the wear out abit, same with the rears. I cant see why not, but wanted to check.
-
How on does that feel? Do you grab it at the top, or at the side? Cant imagine how driving with that could be comfortable

Its been the same for a few years now, MES ECU's are standard throughout all cars, including the Ferrari, and all the parameters are checked by the FIA.
-
I find this when driving on the road, but when on track, and everything is up to temperature, its rock solid from the start, so maybe its just a temp issue. i run DBD slotted discs and DS2500 pads. However, i initially had a really soft pedal after having some braided lines fitted, they bled the brakes a few times, and it didnt improve. Went for an MOT a few weeks later, and the tester found that one of the lines was loose on the caliper, and needed tightening up

Was only a joke, we dont have thing like TC or super KERS etc. The ECU is so tightly controlled, it would be impossible to hide anything like that. As for Alonso, I have no idea how he does it, but his starts are 99% amazing.
-
But different electronic maps for the KERS traction control system? ;) Well we can only get through the regs with one car with the TC and super KERS. Lol Like Ferrari and the launch control on Alonso's car.

In all fairness, the new engines are meant to be 40% more fuel efficient, and they currently run 160kg of fuel, and that is being cut to 100kg,so shouldnt hopefully be too much of a fuel fight. Agree that Vettel running off and winning isnt probably the most exciting viewing, but you cant blame him for that,he is paid to do a job,and he is doing it very well, in the best machine on the grid. Webbers car is built with the same parts as Vettels, unless he requests otherwise. Vettel has suffered a fair few failures himself,so its not just Marks car, but maybe Mark is harder on the car generally than Vettel, who knows. Next year will certainly throw up a few issues, I know all the teams are struggling with heat management.

Ah ok. Maybe i will stick to what iv got then, a i had one years ago, and it would fall off in your hand at the worst moment.
-
Suppose it dont matter on track too much,as i tend to wear proper gloves anyway, so not so worried now. Do i just need to makesure that its a particular fitment?
-
Dont really like them Nismo style ones, i like something chunky to grab hold of. Does anyone with metals knobs have any issues on track days in the heat of the moment?
-
Looking for a new gear knob for the Zed. Hoping to have a nice round one, though a little hesitant on all metal, especially with winter almost here. Just hoping people could post some pictures of theirs and where they got it from.

Oh and Ferrari Interantional Assistance strikes again! How did they allow Alonso's pass on Vergne out of the pits to stick i have no idea. If Alonso was so much faster than Vergne, then he would have been able to overtake him at a different point ON TRACK. Yet Hulkenberg gets penalised for a unsafe release, when iv seen close calls like that get allowed before where there is a wide pit lane with the blue part present. Not a great day from the stewards point of view I think, but thats just my opinion. I think Alonso may need a new chassis for the next race after that impact, would be very surprised if it didnt ruin the bottom of the chassis after that impact.

Got to blame the likes of Merc for not gearing the cars properly too. Mark had a longer 7th gear which made it easier to overtake, but Hamilton appeeared to have a shorter ratio, so was hitting the limiter earlier. Sauber do a great job with the resources that they have, and set the car up to be able to over take, so have a higher top speed, same as Force India. Another brilliant race by Massa too, the overtake on Hamilton at the end of the straight was fabulous, and I hope to god that he and Hulkenberg get a good drive next year. Seen this morning that the Quantum deal is apparently done with Lotus, so hopefully the Hulk will go there, though not too sure what that means for Massa and Maldonado.

Il be happy if Mark and Seb are close at the first corner, means that Mark has had a good start! Talking of close, did anyone see Calos Sainz Jnr clash with another GP3 car yesterday? How he kept it out the wall was mighty impressive.
-
WTF! That looks all sorts of bad!

The only photo i really like from this year was taken on my iphone, so hope that the resolution is high enough, email sent.

Sorry to hear about your accident, but atleast you walked away from it, and no one else was involved. Bloody lucky with the insurance too. I had a pretty big one a few years back in a hatchback, ended up going backwards into a tree, and have to say, it does make you a more rounded driver, as you are aware of other factors, and the experience just makes you think a little deeper. I had a massive spin in the Zed last year at Bedford, (that last corner), luckily it spat me onto the infield, not the pit wall, and i never took that corner at serious speed for the rest of the day, and it took me an hour or so to get any sort of confidence back in myself, and the car. I carried too much kerb on the apex, and though i thought I had the drift under control, when it snapped the other way, it was out of my control. You will get there, and be a better driver because of it, just takes time. Maybe go out in the car again, if your mate lets you, and go for a gentle drive.
