  1. any thoughts on the efi training???
  2. does anyone know if these exhausts give more or less power? surely the special z exhausts have been created with hp in thought in front of design/sound? sure hope so. fair play for trying something new, not sure its my cup but hey taste is like the rearend. (divided) id say once the muffler gets a good runin they sound will increase to your liking if not just get a set of straight pipes instead of the cats now we are all waiting for the video how much was it? if you dont mind me asking.
  3. just ignore that stuff mate... my pure will be going on sale for 100+shipment btw,,, :bye:
  4. You can do on the road mapping you know, and arguably its better than on the rollers. A lot of the MLR boys map theirs on the road with the opensource software you can get to map Evos. Seen some amazing results, proven by proper dyno measurements. Personally I wouldnt map it myself though, I dont know what I'm doing. Thats why I want to do the EFI course since I've seen the ECU software... and I'd be afraid of breaking something. And no don't own a rolling road... on the road mapping would be the way and then prove it at a later stage.
  5. Missed one of these in May this year : http://www.efi101.com/efi101.html ,wondering know if anyone here has done one and if it would be worth REALLY trying to attend one? The class her dropped out due to this recession yoke... Read this review and that's what made me start thinking about it again: http://zilvia.net/f/chat/132481-went-ef ... -pics.html It would be both cool and 'better' to do your own tunes instead of handing it over to a tuner, not to disrespect for anyone in the field but I have a lifetime to get the correct tune instead of trying to make a business out of it so time is on my side (not experience). Hmm hope that came out right... (if not I apologize in advance and blame English not being my first language )
  6. roof, front lip, wing & mirrors in carbon? where / what else done?
  7. 2cm wider tyres? They will just look bulgy and rubbish. Get spacers current tyre size rear on my yoke (JDM) = 235 20mm wider = 255 ... suppose that's wider in both directions (a bit I'd guess) so lets take another 20mm = 275... Where I would want to be in tyre width when I'm finished = 275 Bah just get new wheels and tyres, you know you will in the end thats what I meant...

  10. Where is the other thread...
  11. Id so be up for this! Could meet you up in Calais for the road trip to the ring? Was supposed to have stopped there on my bike trip this year but as it turned out didn't... need to fix the limiter before then
  12. I normally lash her up sideways instead of waving (luckily not that many Z's over here
  13. Welcome! Best of luck and deadly re posting about the progress of your build! What budget do you have? If any?
  14. I'm looking into doing this but might have to hit it on it's head, the fuel does not seem to hold good standard (in IRELAND) contains some bad substances at the mo... (not official) the guy supposed to tune it has now said he wants it cleared before moving on... (might never happen), I would also need to upgrade my injectors and fuel pump to cope with the extra fuel needed (counted 45% extra on the standard injector sizes and then my future FI project... so 600cc+) in turn that requires a full fuel return system (thought this yoke had one...but no) saga goes on... anyway to cut it short I'd need 1k$+ to sort the fueling out and 700€+ for the tune... so it's not going to be very cost effective HP per € Then again I spent xyz on a SSV Kinetix that's stated it's not going to give me ANY hp... Dont know if the standard ECU can adapt, wouldn't think so... worth a shot? , you can always try it outside an E85 station and only fill her up with 5L of E85 *on an empty tank. The idle for a few minutes and see if it adjusts or dies. < do this on your own risk!
  15. their claims can't be untrue as otherwise it would be false marketing, but you can set a dyno to read what ever you like. also i think that the quoted BHP gains are for the one item on a stock car, i think when you start to add more items their BHP overlaps each other. so if you had 2 items each adding 5 bhp, you might actually only gain a total of 7 bhp. at the end of the day, they will make a difference, but not a smuch as the manufacturers claim +1 and I'm after ordering a SSV Kinetix plenum... there is NO way that it will give 30+bhp but it will give me torque and some + hp

    True dual Y-pipe

Look at the true dual from Borla and the setup a group buy
  17. have a map on the H already that I'm using... not 'tuning' myself wouldn't be much left of the car if I did, to many settings to mess up in the software! thought so too ... lets not open old war wounds... Is there any / may haltech tuners over the water? You may want to try TDI as they are Haltech dealers / installers and they might be able to assist... eh end of the line on the haltech stuff, have checked it with themselves and they dont 'look' at that setting...

  19. The up rev map gets rid of the delimiter do you have a map that I can use? Its not as simple as that as you need to buy the up rev licence and then have a custom map done on your car. see I wouldn't be interested in the actual mapping since I use Haltech platinum 350z for my maps but it doesn't look after the limiter So I'd just need the 1's and 0' that disables that part
