  1. Not for 500 miles on a motorway. Even Lomoto thought hi flo's and Nismo were too much. all relative though, as sound is a very, very subjective thing its all about how much hearing you got yourself
  2. andlid

    what a result!

Out of interest what size are you running on 17" rims? 225/50 17 front 235/50 17 rears sorry to hear about the blowout, had one on mine two weeks after i got new goodyear f1's put on! costed me 190€ fitted. will see if i i can find that uk site that seems to have pretty good pricing on their rubber dubber.
  3. Well done what ever happened! Any pics on that intake you've modded on the front? Looks pretty cool.
  4. both sides, pain. What miles have yours done? Keep me posted what the outcome might be.
  5. Welcome...22! hope you get a good quote mate! Enjoy the Zzzzz
  6. I'd stay away from true dual exhauts, race cats, plenum upgrades if you want to keep the noise down. I'd change the endcans to 'any' of the ones out there. K1 system maybe? (with baffles in and take them out when ever you feel like it wanting to go a bit louder). If you like to hear the sound of the intake I'd go for a apexi drop in filter (so you dont messup the intake setup and heat being sucked into the engine) Listen to these 3 clips think these links are better for sound difference: "standard": before: after:
  7. hmm the silencer has two 'canals' but sharing the same baffle material if that clarifies it. Sorry for thread stealing....
  8. Output to whatever. And use super to convert
  9. +1 happened to me on my flex joint, it's only 50-60£ to replace so do that 1st before fitting.
  10. Thats a true dual, the gas mix in the centre so there is on need for a pipe between the two pipes for equalize of pressure Below is an example of the borla true dual exaust note the pipe between the two pipes (red circle) My understanding is that true dual means that there is no single piping along the way from the cats...
  11. think these links are better for sound difference: "standard": before: after:
  12. thought you needed flexi's... Why don't you price up a full custom exhaust from a reputable garage? (thats done it before) cheaper and 'better' I'd say since it's not massproduced to make a quick buck... Here is a photo of mine that I got done Monday: Not sure about quality yet but will keep the exhaust thread 'busy' with anything that might crop up!
  13. I use 'super' for any video converting. For DVD ripper I in the past used tmpgenc but it was a long time ago so would'nt be able to give you a name of one thats free (guess thats what you are looking for?)
  14. You're doing well to spot a Z in dublin
  15. best of luck and hope you pick one of these up =
  16. +1 Got a brand new one for that price (and weld in stainelss...) Mental loud it must be to bad it's not a true dual exhaust glws.
  17. cheers, it would be side 4 that is leaking... will keep a close eye on it and if its leaking lots I'll order one of those from you mate
  18. i think its due to the fact the google phone's mic isnt picking up the sound! lol I'll use the pvr setup at some stage, its mental loud when you floor it! and whe nyouo dont (idle or under low pressure) its very quite... just the way I like it...
  19. they balance as well, and thanks for the info, i'll go in sack cloth for maximum discount
  20. Welcome Z hopefull.... Clio owner Go to a meet mate will be far nicer then reading up on stuff (do both). Take your time to pick your 'donor' car. Not sure what mods you plan on making in the future but either buy one thats modded the way you want or mod it yourself (last will be more expensive but at least you did it and not some former owner) Find someone on this forum that could actually go with you if you find a car. I found (my Z experience is a dangerous one, kind of lucked out so far) that having had the Z for a while driving around and poking around at stuff in the engine bay under the car etc and spending nice € on the car has made me a very good scout to go out and get another Z! Probably the same if you go and get another Clio you'd know what to look out for... at 23 I'd only dream what the insurance premium would be like (you might wanna check that 1st) all the best! When you do get her take it handy at first... it's a beast and can bite you if you're not used to it! A.
  21. Here is a story: Was told to go fit tyre to a wheel at a place in Dublin. The guy before me paid 12€ fitted and balanced (not on cage). The guy before him paid 8€... I came in a suit and forgot to ask him how much before he fitted it... guess.... 20€... didnt work well wearing a suit! fyi ; If they don't balance I wouldn't use them...
  22. Wasnt far from it last weekend i'd say more from the K1 exhaust and keeping the revs up going into a tunnel...
