  1. Look forward to seeing some pictures! Enjoy your new car!
  2. You on the midget porn again Ekona? I thought you had kicked that habit.
  3. Well done that man! I pretty much didn't understand any of the technical problem solving that you did but always impressed by people that can tackle this kind of stuff! Lovely looking car too! What I would do for one! You must be very chuffed!
  4. Screw it, I'll get one too and we can form the old team again! George has his nismo 370z up.
  5. Buy Neil's old scrapper!
  6. I do - out of whisky casks. I was (still am) completely amateur but if you put your mind to it you can do some basic stuff easily enough! Here are some pics of things I have made: A huge clock - the bottle of HP whisky is full size to give you an idea. Tealight Candle holders Wine rack (holds 12 bottle) - half a cask lid and two staves.
  7. This is an interesting thread. I never replaced my zed after selling it although I banked the capital as a deposit for when I next got back into the car scene. New house and marriage have taken precedent since selling up. I always thought my next car would be a R35 GTR and it still could be as I think they are the business but what puts me off is the fact is it would purely be a weekend car. I sometimes think I'd get much more out of an s2 exige as a weekend toy and I believe running costs would be considerably cheaper. I saw your mates Top Secret GTR at the ingestion car show - that car is a beast! Does he not have another GTR too? Quite a young guy? What business is he in as I am moving profession! lol
  8. Very sorry to hear this! Rest in peace Martin!
  9. Dibs on the lights please - PM on the way
  10. Hey guys, Random one here but this is our school badge. This is the only electronic copy we have and it is really low resolution. Does anyone have the skills on here to recreate this in a higher quality so that it doesn't go all blocky? Any advice or help would be appreciated. Our school is over 55 years old so I don't even know when this logo was first made. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. http://www.northlana...llbraebadge.JPG
  11. The father in law phoned me as he is looking to buy a delivery mileage VW Passat CC 2.0 Bluemotion. He has found one at Motorpoint that on the face of it seems to be a good deal. The link is below. They want a £300 to deposit to bring the car up although i have told him a 5 hour drive down to view it might be worth it. http://www.motorpoin...WAGEN/CC/510292 At present, he drives a 09 plate VW Jetta 1.6FSI which is in mint condition. full dealer service history, 40k miles on the clock. It really is a very tidy car and they are only offering him 3.5k for it. So my question is - anybody have any experience of dealing with motorpoint, will they move on what seems a good price. Are they generally quite mean with their trade in values. Has anyone else spotted a similar car at a favourable price etc Any help appreciated.
  12. Very nice buddy! The interior is the mutts nuts!
  13. I could send it royal mail special delivery insuring it for £500 as a one off commissioned piece. And when it turns up in bits you are covered and have some whisky soaked firewood into the bargain. lol
  14. Made another one the other day since you asked - £75 and it is yours! This one holds 13 bottles \
  15. Even made the stencils for the lettering by myself!
  16. Sounds great - never been but I've heard its nicer than a long weekend in Blackpool. Fancy the Maldives for my honeymoon. What hotel you staying at?
  17. I have had a lot of people asking me to do stuff for them so might do some stuff to sell. I have given everything I have made away so far. lol Cheers Paddy! As for another modded car - eventually! I get married in April so will be actively looking after that. I nearly went for a supercharged S2 Exige after selling the Nissan but deep down I really crave something in that next level of amazingness. My pockets aren't quite deep enough for it just now though! I should of saved all that money I spunked on the zed! haha Bodyboarder - I am increasingly as you describe - love a good bit of wood  ! A wooden pallet makes me weak at the knees.
  18. So I have wood burning stove and recently I've been getting dismantled wooden whisky casks to chop and use as firewood. However, I was out in the Clyde Valley one day and say some products made from whisky barrels and that gave me the inspiration to try a few things myself. Being a relatively noob DIYer, I wasn't hoping for much but I am pretty pleased with how my designs have turned out. I have made a huge clock from the cask lid and from the sides, about 12 candle holders and a wine rack. Anyone else in to this kind of thing? A huge clock - the bottle of HP whisky is full size to give you an idea. Tealight Candle holders Wine rack (holds 12 bottle) - half a cask lid and two staves.
  19. Liking this a lot ! Mortgages are treating you well my friend! lol
