I wouldn't call Leon a lesser car (I'm an ex Leon owner ), it has the same 1.8 engine as the Golf but on the Cupra R you have the bigger turbo, intercooler etc as on the S3.
I had a wasp fly into my car as I was driving along yesterday
Was in the middle nowhere so ended up pulling into a field to try and get the fecker out. The cows must have thought I was a loonie
I'm afraid to say I agree with Chesterfield on this one. Plus it all depends on what measure of inflation you use. RPI is currently negative (-1.2%), but if you take RPIX (which strips out mortage repayments) inflation is still positive (+1.7%). The reason RPI is negative is because interest rates have fallen meaning that mortgage repayments have fallen, but they won't fall much more with interest rates today at just 0.5%. The price of most other things is rising, especially anything we import with the pound being trashed. In the real world we still have inflation.
You can pick up bargains on 350Zs now, prices have had their big drop over the last 6-12 months and seem to have stabilised. You can now buy a 3 year old Z for under half list price, that's very cheap in my book.
The Z is the ultimate chick magnet (under $30,000)

So come on guys and gals, what's you best Zed pulling story? I've not had mine long enough for anything worth reporting yet, but it certainly gets plenty of looks.
That's the garage I bought my Zed from for about 6 weeks ago, which was an 06 plate, same number of miles and they were charging £1,000 less (before haggling). Maybe Zed prices are on the up!
I traded my Leon Cupra R in for my Zed. Absolutely loved it to bits, such a hoot to fling around corners and I do miss the turbo thump when you hit 3,000 rpm. That said I am smitten with my Zed, it feels like a junior supercar by comparison.
I have to say, considering the high performance nature of the Z, I think servicing costs and intervals are very reasonable. I recently paid £325 for a P3, which I know isn't the cheapest, but ae about half what you would pay for a Porker or TVR.
Really makes you think that once folks hit retirement that perhaps they should be retested every few years. Mind you there's so many crap drivers on the roads I think everybody should be retested plus they should make the driving test twice as hard. Would make people look at driving as a privilege rather than a right, plus would help with congestion issues too. [/Rant]
When I went to test drive a 350Z at my local dealer they couldn't even find the car keys! Needless to say I bought one eslewhere. As others have said dealers can be very hit and miss.
