If the Xbox one can do even half the stuff they demonstrated, in the UK, then I'll sew my arse up. I'd like to see how it will integrate with sky TV or virgin cable. Or will it simply stream the media over the net? I'd like to see it try on anything other than infinity... I don't actually care that its trying to be an all in one box. I have a nexus or iPad for surfing the web. A sky+ box for TV, and a server store and xbmc to stream media to any TV around the home. I want my Xbox to play games,es. That's its job in life. I don't want my Xbox for Facebook or YouTube or telling my mates what TV programming I'm watching. I want my Xbox to load Call of Duty and let me shoot people in the face with a shotgun. That's it. The fact the ps4 seems to be better specced by some way on paper, and they haven't bothered with any of this all in one box nonsense is starting to sway me. £429 is a lot of money. His many families can afford to find that at Christmas time? Plus another £50 or so for a game and £30 for a live membership. That's over £500 for a Christmas prezzy. Way too steep for the vast majority of households.

Though this time round they are running similar architecture, so porting from one to another should be relatively straightforward. Meaning that taking advantage of the extra graphics power the PS4 apparently has may be possible right from the off. Imagine on launch the two consoles tested side by side with the same game and the PS4 showing better quality and/or frame rate. That's a very real possibility given the x86 architecture in both. I prefer the Xbox to the ps3 myself, and the controller is awful on the PS3 IMHO, but I'm seriously considering leaving this Xbox on launch to see what plays out. If reviews so much as hint that the PS4 is better for gamers, then Xbox will need to be slashed by £100 or more to stand a chance.

$499 in the states, which I make £320. So yes, they can shove it up their ring. I'll wait for the inevitable war between MS and Sony before I jump in I think. Especially as the PS4 appears to have better spec hardware on paper.

I read all Chris' posts and as he said, in the main his were dealer issues as he bought his Jag new I think, Jag & thd XF are consistently voted high in all polls of actual owners so that's good enough for me If the Jag is even half as bulletproof as my Zed I will be a very happy bunny... The reason they get voted highly is because the majority are owned by people who have never set foot outside the brand. I moaned about my new car and the lack of interest from jaguar and got banned from a jaguar forum for doing so. It was as though I had just walked into the living room, took a dump on the rug and a leak in the best China teacups. How dare anyone complain about their jag on a jaguar forum... Nice looking, great quality ride, excellent engine (got the same in the RRS), but the build quality on mine was shite, and the interest jaguar themselves showed toward a customer(s) that was new to the brand was rubbish.

Those are the Selena wheels, a few hundred quid option I believe, had them on my XF-S. Majority of my issues were dealership related, but never did establish whether it was the factory or the receiving dealer that borked the paint in the first instance. The dealer wasn't to blame for some of the major issues my brother and I had though. Fuel hose coming off and dumping half a tank of diesel on the road, electrics shorting out and resetting the dash mid motorway journey, engine cover wearing through wiring loom, and the most annoying rattle ever known to man from the centre console. That and the traction control on that auto box in the XF meaning that the F430 was about 10 times better in snow than the jag. Seriously, first sign of snow you will be better off getting in the bus. Great looking, great interior, but if you get a Friday afternoon car (and they seem to make a few), then be prepared to start cursing it. Especially so for owners of brand new ones suffering about a grand a month depreciation for the pleasure. I may be suffering the same depreciation on the RRS from JLR, but at least it works while that's taking place. I hope yours is fault free, as its a great car if it is

That's brilliant. Its truly humbling to think that the creation of this club those years ago has now resulted in such a large number of people having fun together and also raising large sums of money for charities nationwide. I'm so very proud to be part of what has been achieved over the last couple of years. A massive thank you to each and every member for embracing our decision to raise money for these good causes.

My little boy, DIY and xbox help me switch off after work. Working for yourself does bring a lot of stress, but also a lot of rewards too - its just making sure you get the balance right.

I'd love to know what goes through their mind when they know they are on the breadline but still pop kids out like shelling peas. Poor little sods are destined for a life of misery. Amazing they can do glazing for a neighbour, but can't find an actual job. It boils my pi$$.

I also vote for this. Let them use whatever compound they want, and as many sets as they want. That way its impossible to second guess strategies of the opposition, let them start on scrubbed or fresh tyres of their choosing, then everyone is in the same boat, and its up to the team if they want to play a long game and go super hard compound and try to one stop, or go super soft and do a four stopper but rag the tyres to within an inch of their life each time. This with the return of refuelling makes it impossible for teams to gues the weight and tyre degredation of others, so they can concentrate on trying to be faster, rather then just making their tyres last longer than the next team.

Ive kind of tied my hands on having cars older than 2011 now, as all the plates Ive bought recently start BA11 Ive got BA11 MUM, BA11 TOY, BA11 CAR and BA11 BOY. Plus a couple older reg ones like C3 ALL and T19 ALL.

The price of the F-type makes no sense at all to me. I think it's treading on the toes of the XK quite a bit, and the price compared to other similar sized roadsters will make it appeal to only a small niche following IMHO. I wouldn't be surprised to see some serious price drops, or giveaway finance offers. First run purchasers are not going to be happy IMHO. Just like the new FFRR, they seem to be hiking the price before they shake the image which causes rapid depreciation. I'd have thought waiting a couple more years or so to shake the image before hiking prices would have been better. If they seriously sting new RR and Jag owners, they may never shake the rapid depreciation stigma.

You'd be surprised. Dont forget a large proportion of Range Rover Sport (and FF Range rover), just have them for the image. Whereas the layman would be hard pressed to tell the difference between a 2005 RRS and a 2012 model, same with the 2004 to 2012 FF RR, the new ones look vastly different. Dont underestimate the number of people that will be looking to shift their current RRS or FFRR just to get into the latest looking model. I've taken the view that as soon as the running costs of my current one in terms of repair bills etc starts to be larger than the annual depreciation on a new model, thats when Ill move. Keeping up to date with the latest design and model of any top end car like a Range Rover is expensive business, not something Im that bothered about now - different priorities in life. There will however be a huge number of chelsea tractor owners that will be keeping up with the Jones' Saw a brand new Westminster (latest/last model of the outgoing FFRR) up for a little over £50k on interest free from a dealer the other day. Looking at its spec, it was about £12k off list. Thats the damage thats being done to the current prices, and they will filter down to the lower ones imho just because they look so completely different. If it were just a slight tweak here and there then I'd say second hand prices would hold, but this new revision of the Sport and the FF Range Rover make the previous models now look old - that will hit the values I reckon. Not something Im looking forward to, and I did for five minutes consider a move to a new FFRR or RRS, but after speccing it up on the site and coming to a figure of over £70k for the RRS and just a tad over £100k for the FF, and considering the depreciation levels - its just daft. Anyone who bought a 12/62/13 plate of the old model sport or FF Range Rover, is about to take a spanking imho. When the newer ones start making it to the second hand market in greater numbers in 6 months time, Ill predict savings of near £30k on a FFRR that costs £100k today. Its going to be savage. The problem they have with the FFRR is they cant stop them making it onto the second hand market outside of official dealers in great numbers. I know from taling with dealers a few months ago on the likes of the 458, that for every car you see advertised for sale via a dealer, there were about 3 to 4 more that werent being advertsied. Under instruction from Maranello, to make sur the prices didn't tumble on the 458 too quickly. You couldnt get one for less than £180k. Regardless of age. Now, some 6 months on they are making it out onto the second hand market in larger numbers outside of the dealers control, look at the prices. Sub 160k and thats before a deal is done. Just watch the new Range Rover prices in the next 12 months... It will be painful.

Mines a RRS (the gay one). Primarily bought for space and safety resons when we knew we were expecting. I succumbed to the "if you cant beat em, join em" mentality. I have no real need for a 4x4, other than the odd snowy winter as the drive between work and hom is not on a bus route, so something that was better than the Jag in the snow is useful. Mine is a 2011 model, its had its problems - electrical and suspension related. Both seemed to be related, and a replacement of a component inside the compressor has seen no problems with the car since. Ive had to stick fuel in it for the last 18 months and thats it. Its quite thirsty too, but thats to be expected with an automatic weighing about 3 tons. I have thought about a Full Fat Range Rover, but ultimately you don't really get a lot more for your money. Perhaps why they depreciate faster. The luggage capacity on the new one is a case in point. Load space on the brand new Full Fat Range Rover with back seats in the upright position - 909 litres. Load space in mine with seats upright, 958 litres. The FF RR only has 17 litres more when seats are folded down too. If you are after a Range Rover, give it another few months. Let the new full fat become a bit more common and you'll see the prices of the previous model drop like a brick. New Range Rover Sport with redesigned front end out soon too, so if you would prefer a sport, then the current models of those will drop sharpish when the new model arrives. Thinking of getting out of mine before the new sport starts to arrive in any great numbers.

Get a decent one, have it serviced regularly and it should be free motoring. Prices only headed up for the last couple of years. Retail red will always command a premium.
