  1. Im going to guess, and yes Im stereotyping, that the bleach blonde fake boobed preened eyebrowed mum with three daughters already, has a lot more to do with him wanting to wear princess dresses than this story tells us. And now its on the internet, for ever, so when he is a normal 14/15 year old kid at school, and one of his mates finds this story on the net, what a pleasant time he will have... stupid mother for getting it plastered on the net.
  2. Get yourself a lovely low mileage Ultra Yellow GT4, with almost new tyres and a few mods already done, like a full stainless dual exhaust, discs and pads with less than 10k on them, and a few body mods and a nice in car PC all for £8k or near offer. Currently sorn'ed, but for the right offer, it will have a full service and MOT thrown in too.
  3. That rule is not correct either. There is a movie with Jackie chan in it where several black guys greet each other in a bar with "Whats up my n***a". Jackie Chan wanders up to the bar and not being from around those parts says the same greeting, and then a fight ensues. This is a tongue in cheek movie representation of the word being claimed as general banter between one group, which suddenly becomes offensive if anyone else uses it. Which is rather stupid and pathetic if we think about it.
  4. Because those examples haven't been blown out of all proportion by the media in some sort of witchunt. Just like the whole "plebgate" thing. Its interesting to see Harriet Harman saying anyone who uses that word in any context has no place on the BBC. Yet Will I Am has been on the voice for how long? Yet he sings it in several songs I believe. Another example of a word being acceptable as long as its only used by certain people. Its either an unacceptable word or its not. We can't pick and choose whether words are acceptable depending on the colour or race of the person using the words, otherwise it just continues to fuel racism itself IMHO.
  5. I agree with most of your post Chris, but these organisations were formed because there is already discrimination within the parent organisations... The Music Industry and The Police. You can't really blame a minority group for wanting to have something which isn't totally controlled by old white men with secret handshakes. So the answer to dealing with an organisation that discriminates based on race/colour, is to set up an organisation that discriminates based on race/colour?
  6. Any person with his public image who sings a racist rhyme out loud when he knows he's on camera, shooting a piece for a national TV show, should be arrested and charged. It's the people who like him whose judgement is clouded, not mine. I freely admit that I dislike him intensely, but my judgement is crystal clear. To give different examples - what if the Pope sang this rhyme to camera? What if David Cameron sang it to camera? What if Ed Miliband sang it to camera? Would it be brushed under the carpet? Of course not - They would GO. This is the kind of attitude that allowed Jimmy Savile to get away with it. I'm sorry, but I think your dislike (and it appears to be borderline hatred) for Clarkson, most certainly is clouding your judgement. To answer the question about a politician, I give you Dianne Abbot, who remains an MP after tweeting "White people love to play divide & rule, we should not play their game." Now, let's consider for a minute what the reaction would be if a UKIP or Tory made that exact same tweet, but replaced the word "white", for " black". You are right, they most certainly would go. IMHO its this sort of double standards and viewing racism as a one way street that continues to fuel racism itself. From the Black Police Officers Association to the Music Of Black Origin awards, there are plenty of examples of organisations and groups in existence today that discriminate based on race. How these are any different to the signs that used to be outside pub doors saying "Whites only" which we now consider to be evidence of abhorrent racial inequality from a bygone era I don't know, but this new "positive discrimination" appears perfectly acceptable as long as its in the name of a minority group. Its still segregating, including and excluding people on the basis of colour or race. Thats racism.
  7. In my sons nursery, they all sing baa baa black sheep. Nobody minds. Why? Because the song is about a f**king sheep, that's why. Its about time people stopped looking for racism where none exists. Reading Lenny Henry's comments about how minorities are under represented in the media. How? If a minority makes up 3% of the population, why would they represent any more than 3% of the people seen in the media? Clarkson obviously knew the word was not politically correct, he mumbled the rhyme, and asked after hearing it back to go with another take. If he was that much of a brazen racist he wouldn't have bothered mumbling. That would have been the version of the rhyme he grew up with, and so mumbled it. Years from now when the PC brigade have had their way with baa baa black sheep, no doubt I, along with my son and hundreds of others will all be branded racist when we have to mumble the word "black" when we sing baa baa "whatever" sheep.
  8. Ageism I was talking to a client on the phone a few weeks ago, he was of the older generation when words like that were commonplace. When describing the last remaining issue to be resolved, he used the phrase "The only nigger in the woodpile". I was quite shocked. He didn't know if I was black or not as we had never met in person. I didn't kick off and start petitioning the golf club for him to be sacked. I out it down to his generation and an innocent slip of concentration. Why isn't Prince Phillip up on reciting racial hatred charges? Because people put it down to a gaff. Its a completely different matter than using the word in a deliberately offensive manner.
  9. He is a victim of nothing other than his own old age and stupidity. He is not a racist imho. He's done nothing worse than any of the numerous Prince Phillip gaffs, but there doesnt seem to be a queue forming to put the queens hubby in leg irons. Its yet another example of how over reactionist and overtly pc our society has become. Have a watch of this. http://www.liveleak....se_old_player=0
  10. I know where there is a low mileage GT4 in Ultra Yellow with a few bodykit bits and a cookbot system going for £8k or offers.
  11. Is Flat Rate Vat not an option? That way you get a little (sometimes) for doing The Man's Job for him. Only available on VAT taxable turnover up to £150k, so not applicable to us unfortunately.
  12. The Vat is fun too. Its just like being a collection agency for HMRC but without getting paid for the job. Then theres the bit where you cant do cash accounting anymore, so you have to account for the money being yours at the moment of invoice, regardless of whether the money has physically come in or not. It means if somebody takes more than 3 months to pay, then you get to pay HMRC the value of the VAT on your invoice, regardless of whether you have been paid or not. Its a right barrel of laughs Husky - give it a whirl.
  13. Thats true - certainly good for UK business. Anything to close the gap on Ireland etc and it will become more viable for those companies who "base" there to simply pay the tax here instead. That may lead to the ability to lower it further, or at least reintroduce some spending. Im straying into politics though...
  14. If only that were true. Well maybe it is, perhaps HMRC are buying a company aventador with mine
  15. I'm considering the S5 or the Sony. S5 has faster processor, slightly larger screen, 4k video, higher res camera, but I'm uncertain about the OS. Currently have a S4, and never used the HTC or Sony systems.
  16. I thought my Range Rover had bad depreciation. These f-type convertibles, especially the V8 in the UK are something else. You can get V8's, with less than 2k on the clock, less than 12 months old, from jaguar dealers, for £20k off new. That's 25% in less than a year. That's almost double the rate of depreciation I've seen on a range rover, and more than I lost on a 430 over two years even through the launch of the 458. They would also seem to be following every other manufacturers example and selling them at far more reasonable prices across the pond. The V8 can be had in the US, including local sales tax in Florida, for the equivalent of around £63k. I bought a new jag once. And other issues aside, the depreciation is just ridiculous. Way overpriced IMHO.
  17. Its a jag. Give it six months and pick one up half price.

It needs to also worry about its price tag (with a couple of necessary items on the options list) pricing it just about £20k ish short of a 12 month old Aventador. That's what killed it for me. At £218k with a couple of options, it may have been a nice car, but ultimately its not an Aventador, and when you are talking about that kind of money the price gap starts to become somewhat irrelevant. Also, there are a lot of other cars out there which would be on a "bucket list". GT-R, Bentley GTC, Maserati GT, Aston DB9/S for example. And depending on age, you could buy all four of those for the same price as one Huracan. At over £200k, it is not nearly "Lambo" enough. The front end and cockpit are nice, very nice, the back end a bit 'meh', and do you really want to have the feeling that you aren't driving a daddy lambo when you spend over two hundred grand?

  21. That will be in the "strada" mode, using the stop start tech, getting stuck at traffic lights for a few minutes every few hundred yards
  22. Looks like Lamborghini spilt the beans yesterday as most auto sites ran the story yesterday: http://www.evo.co.uk/news/evonews/290848/lamborghini_huracan_lp6104_replaces_gallardo.html Mmmmm, 600bhp V10. Yes please
