  1. with the impending drive to JAE, I'd be interested to know the answer to this one before next Saturday too.
  2. yep - Im guilty of thread misdirection too The error has gone on fish4 now - but it was pretty damn funny
  3. LOL - unfortunately the old saying, "the whole is greaterthan the sum of its parts" is not true for cars. Buying all the parts of a new roadster will probably set you back double the cost of bying the car in "built" form. So Im sure you can get a 20% discount, but it will be on a collection of £50k's worth of parts at retail. LOL.
  4. We get separate hits and visits. So its quite clear that there are multiple hits per visit. The average is over 100 hits per visitor, but having said that Im probably well into the thousands of hits alone. We do get some interesting stats, and I reckon its fair to say that its grown a little since the days of the site being on my personal web space LOL.
  5. No - it was fish4 that had 30m hits. We had over 5000 unique adresses visit last month (but many users may have dynamic IPs). What I do find funny is that our peak demand time is between 2p and 3pm (people must take late lunches!). At that time we peak at over 4000 hits per hour.
  6. Jacko, if you are going down the M1, try Donnington services, at Donnington show time, they had them two for a tenner IIRC. You can also get them from argos - offer at the moment 2 for £12. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/p ... 406412.htm Myself and the missus will be on our way down on Friday night too.
  7. 30 million hits per month! Crikey - last month we only scraped 1.6 Million. Nice error message though. We could have custom error messages, but Id rather not tempt fate by designing them, afterall, we would never wish for you guys to ever see any.

  11. They do look good sarnie! I can vouch for how dirty these things get so quickly, mines got less than 6k on the clock, and they are almost black! Anyone bringing the autosol to JAE?
  12. Dave thats excellent - we shall have to find the right FAQ or guide area to put that in. Thanks!
  13. Jacko behave,,, only the mods can post sh*t like this That do?
  14. Gameboy, Sega gamegear, NES, Nintendo 64, Amiga CD32, PS1, XBOX. The biggest all time flop has to be the Amiga CD32. Favourite game from past consoles has to be Zelda - Ocarina of time on the Nintendo 64.
  15. The wikipedia is al about info sharing - Im pretty sure the wikipedia can be used to point to other sites for info. I dont think we have had any issues before - I dont think anyone has actually thought of doing it before No issues from me.
  16. It wont be long - promise.
  17. Nope - something for everyone. And you'll not steal any thunder. The Admin/mod team are all sworn to secrecy.

  20. No. Just when I was a kid, my dad and I spent ages watching the Paul Daniels show and trying to work out how they did it..
  21. Its a technique called "quickchange" - basically many outfits layed over one another made from very very fine silk. They can be litterally ripped off in milliseconds, to reveal another outfit underneath. In the last outfit you see the woman in, look toward the end of the clip, when she kind of takes a bow - you can see that the flesh in between the two white parts of the dress, is not flesh at all, but flesh coloured material (as it creases with the dress), so its not a skimpy outfit, but a full tank top affair, you just cant tell from a distance. They must have taken years to perfect that, as its some very nifty quickchanging. Its all explained in a book called "The Vanished Man", by Jeffery Deaver. Its a thriller book, but the main vilain chacter is a magician, who uses "quickchange" more than once to foil the feds..
