  1. Also - while you are in the filter box, look for leaves! They seem to make their way in there to wither and die. Also - if you do have leaves in there, dont try and pick them out by hand - as they are probably the most dry and brittle leaves you have ever seen, and will instantly dissintegrate into lots of small pieces, leaving you with a right mess, and lots of dead foliage just waiting to be sucked up into the engine if not removed properly. Just remove the air filter and suck out any invading leaves with a hoover or similar.
  2. 370 from a tank! Thats good going. Mind you, most of the mileage on our is in and around town at the moment, not had the opportunity to take it for a blast for a while.
  3. Thats certainly got some shine to it! Looks like you have put a few hours in there! It's worth it though isn't it!
  4. Hi Paul! Welcome to the community. Its great to see more and more members of companies joining up, and Im sure you will be bombarded with questions!
  5. Yes - while the info on 350z-tech is very very detailed and useful, they will cater for the model that has non brembos too - so always a good idea to check through an entire article from there before heading out to the garage to work on a UK specification Z. Sorry for any confucion
  6. To be fair I think its the angle some of those pics are taken at, making it look like they have taken the wing off - there seems to be a lot of room around the disc!
  7. For information on how to install pads, you can read the following article on our American friends site 350z-tech: http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Brake_Pad_Installation Hope that helps, Chris.
  8. Have a look at this site/guide.. http://www.autopia-carcare.com/inf-port ... isher.html it looks good, but Im still dubious about a foam headed grinder. God forbit you miss one piece of grit or a grain of sand during washing, then proceed to buff over it at 2500rpm....
  9. Nope - its black. Here is the before pic...
  10. Just been reading up on these 7424 thingymajigs.... The results that can be acheived look bloomin amazing! I would still be worried about using what effectively is a grinder with a fluffy foam head on the car though But just look at this that I found on a site with instructions etc for a 7424...
  11. We dont have an over 18s section just in case this is leading up to some "interesting" photos of your car... I know its useful on stainless steel cookers/hobs and the like to get rid of greasy finger marks.
  12. Ahh yes - RIcks car arrived just in the nick of time to snatch one of the last few places What do you say Rick - want to bring her to her first show?
  13. Hi - believe the answer is yes - although I am sure an import owner will be along to clarify exactly what is needed very shortly. There are quite a few import owners here, and Im sure lots of them have replace the stereo.
  14. I can certainly vouch fo the fuel filler cap problem. That stands out like a sore thumb, but normally only if you are standing to the reear off-side of the car. Look at the fuel filler from toward the front of the car, and its ok.
  15. Looking good bernmc. Sounds like you are having a great time out and about in the car!
  16. Glad its finally arrived for you Rick - sounds like you have a few things planned too. Im also wanting to do a few light cosmetic changes, so far its just the grill and silver indicator bulbs, but I am looking at doing the badges and aeriel also.
  17. Hi George! Always nice to see a new owner sign up (or soon to be owner in your case). And another roadster too! Ive been out perfecting my T-shirt tan in mine this weekend. In the winter I was a bit concerned that myself and the missus had made the wrong choice with the roadster, but with this weather recently all those doubts have dissapeared! You are going to have a grin from ear to ear when it arrives!
  18. It looks like these are a great success. Glad everyone is happy with them, and thanks again to the suppliers of these kits, a fantastic result for the people who wanted the bluetooth set up. Id like to see one in action, as I haven't got the functionality in my car (not that I'd use it very much), it sounds like a great "gadget"!
  19. Very nice indeed!! Youve put some overtinme in with the nxt there!
  20. Now now boys - its just a game! But at least its one that gets everyone together! LOL. In terms of MPG, I havent really checked mine, but as its used mainly for urban driving, Im probably scraping 20.
  21. Hi and welcome to the site - always a pleasure to see another owner sign up. Hope you enjoy the site, and please do let us know if there is anything you feel we can do to make it even better! Chris.
  22. Sounds like you have a project onyour hands with an engine out job. Fancy keeping us informed in another topic? It sounds like a very ambitous project, and with 500bhp, the performance should be blistering!! 500bhp and 1480 kg is 337bhp per ton! A 550 Maranello is "only" 286. An F430 is still less at 333! Good luck with it! It would be nice to read about what you have done, or are planning, though I doubt I'd have the courage (or funds) to do anything similar.
  23. I bought some Rays a few months ago.
  24. Sounds like baloney to me too. As stated a UK car new would still be under warranty, so £6k's worth of parts would be under warranty. Im guessing to hitthat figure it would need the gearbox and or engine to suffer badly - which would be fixed under warranty, unless the car was abused. We have members who have taken their car on track days and given them some stick, but Ive not read of anyone sufering that kind of repair bill unless it was some sort of modification that blew the engine.
  25. Yep - just posted up on the 200sx forum. They were advertised there before, but no serious takers.
