  1. Ooooo - petrol pwered one! I was thinking of the electric tamiya one - I can get a brand new boxed one for £65. However, petrol powered sound much more fun! Sadly though I dont think they do any roadster model radio control 350Z's
  2. Hmmm - I would be a little concerned about these. They say they work on electromagnetic waves. The way I understand it, thats going to detect metal right? Well the nearest piece of metal to the front of any random vehicle could be as much as 12 inches or about 30 cm from the actual front (plastic). So when this device tells you that the antenna, is 60 cm away from the nearest object, I assume it will be 30 cm away from the nearest metal object, therefore you could actually be only 30cm away, and when it says 30 cm away, you could be touching theplastic front of the nearest object. Id like to see it in action before purchasing anything like that.
  3. Ive done a little digging, and it appears that the xda exec has its own speakers for hands free calling, however, you can turn this feature off by pressing and holding the talk button. This should send the speaker signal to the device you have it plugged into instead. I cant find anywhere whether you have to do this with every call (which would be a bit strange as it would defeat the object of them trying to sell their own hands free kits with earphones etc) - or whether once you have done it, it turns the speakers off permanently (until you hold the talk button again). Hope this helps
  4. Pass.. The process is as follows: 1: Person sends PM. 2: System places message in senders "outbox". 3: System sends email notification to recipient that a PM is waiting 4: System sets PM waiting status for recipient, so when the user logs in, they get the message saying message waiting 5: recipient logs in, message is moved from outbox of sender to inbox of recipient. Between stages 4 and 5, the sender can delete this message out of their "outbox". Either intentionally or unintentionally. If it is deleted, it will not appear in the recipients inbox, but the recipient will get all the messages saying that they have a PM. This has happened before, as people are sometimes "too tidy". They delete messages from their outbox, thinking they are saving space, but actually, those messages are not wasting space, they are just waiting to be delivered. Once the message is delivered, it is automatically removed from the senders outbox. It may be that the person that sent you the message, has just been "too tidy", and deleted the message before you logged in. As it has been deleted, there will be no way of knowing who sent it, or when. Hopefully they may read this and send it again. Hope that helps everyone understand how the PM system works.
  5. I am officially crap at that quiz.
  6. If you do find someone with the right kit to measure the paint thickness, let us all know, as there is a train of thought that the paint on the Z is very, VERY thin!
  7. Probably a daft question but..... Are you sure you switched the air con on, rather than just dial in the lowest temperature? You need to push the temperature dial to turn on the aircon. The light will come on on the dial. Sorry if it was a daft question.
