  1. Ill have all on fitting the bloody tent in the back of the rag top!
  2. I know - but I want rid, and Im fed up of people wasting my time for £475. So the first person to turn up with the cash and a van can take them away.
  3. These are still for sale folks. Getting bored of trying to shift these now. First person to knock on my front door brandishing £400 in cash can take them away.
  4. if they are owt like my standard wheels, you'll get a couple of time wasters, a couple wanting to give you about £50 and one person wanting to split the tyres/wheels and leave you with just rims.
  5. I should also have a tent by then, so may camp instead of B&B. again - what do we need to do? and do we camp with the car, or do we have to leave our cars unattended all night ??
  6. Sounds like you are having a grand time of it! Look out for another North Wales drive out being organised - the last one was without a doubt the best day out driving I have had. Youll notice a couple of people with lovely signature pics of about 9 Z's lined up. That was the last North Wales drive out.
  7. Hi! Welcome to the site - I hope for your sake you are not into football, becasue once you get that car, you are going to have a real dilemma on your hands when it gets to 4pm. Back in to watch the match, or take the car out for a drive whilst the roads are empty... aaarggghhhh....
  8. I know exactly how you feel. My scratches came with a nice dent too. These people must know they have done it. Yet dont have the decency to own up. I partly blame the government for this too. They are the ones dictating how much land can be used for parking, therfore the spaces are smaller. Yet the average car is getting bigger.... Here is a document from one council and shows their standards for car park spaces - not that the difference between the "minimum" size and "optimum" size, is only a change in length. Not the width. http://www.medway.gov.uk/parking_standards_20041-4.pdf Width of space is 2.4m. Width of Z = just over 1.8m. Room each side = <300mm So tell me - who can get out of their Z when the door is only open 300mm? That 300mm has to include the thickness of the door itself. (approx 120mm) So you have to get a human body out of a Z through a gap of 180mm or about 7 inches. And get this.... The minimum size for an ON STREET parking bay is 1800mm wide. WTF?? That narrower than a ford focus? Its about time the government let people have more room for parking, but alas, its yet another way of trying to encourage public transport usage - which is crap at best. Also, the supermarkets should take more responsibility and make the spaces wider. Its a joke they put up a sign removing their liability for damage to vehicles, then expect people to park in spaces the size of a wendy house.
  9. No harm in trying, but I am not surprised in the outcome at all! The Audi RS range are all animals. Very solid cars, very good handling, and very very fast. But they arent lookers are they. They are for people who need or want the practicality of a 4 door estate/saloon, but still want a sports car. But with a price when new at around 50k - you would expect something special.
  10. Crikey - and I though I had an ambitious plan to retro fit the stereo controls to the steering wheel! Perhaps it may be worth seeing if you can get your hands on a speedo from a Z in a scrap yard (if you can find one), and assessing whether the switch is possible first? Then you would want to get your hands on a service manual complete with instructions on removing the pod. But I doubt it will have instructions on disassembling the actual unit itself. You are a brave chap if you take it on!
  11. The answer was given by mike in the second post, and confirmed by Jim two posts above yours..
  12. Hi! Welcom to the site. Glad to see another new owner join up! And another roadster too! I think we all covered a 1000 miles plus in our first week of ownership
  13. Once the bugs themselves are off, any residue (similar to tree sap) could be removed by the use of a clay bar.
  14. Hi, JDM = Japanese Domestic Market i.e. import If you have a read through a few threads in the modifications>performance section you will find loads of info on various ways of squeezing more power from the Z. Also, have a look in the technical section for various threads on issues which have affected peoples Z's. A couple that spring to mind are the left front speaker cutting out on CD playing - so take a CD with you to the dealer. And clicking rear axles on older cars, both of which should be sorted underthe warranty. You could also stick "problem" into the search function, that may bring up a few discussions on various issues. Any other questions just shout up - we will all be happy to help a potential new owner.
  15. Hi - welcome aboard! Its always great to see a new member join and introduce themselves! Hope you enjoy the site - and remember, if there is anything you feel could be added or improved, just post up in the site suggestions area!
  16. Excellent macro feature on that. Sadly I bought my sony pc120e some years ago for £1200, and cant justify buying another one yet, even though they are cheaper and better! Did you use pinnacle to do the editing? I made a few music videos of our family holidays with that. One other question - are you coming to the JAE meet? If so, are you rolling that Z banner up and putting it in the back?
  17. We do have a live chat function for those who want to have handbags at dawn....
  18. I was thinking the exact same thing!! And if you notice in the later pics, there seems to be some small marks on the spoke - possibly from putting them upside down on the concrete?
  19. Quick question on oil pressure. For the first five minutes of driving, the oil pressure seems very high. i.e. if I put my foot down and get it to 4k rpm within say the first 10 mins, the oil pressure can often reach all the way over to the right (120). After 5/10 minutes or so when the car is warmed up, then it only ever goes to about 80, even when giving it beans. Is this normal? As a rule, I tend to stick to not giving it large until the car is well warmed through.
  20. Im up for a Saturday visit too. Problem with mine is that the paint is slightly scuffed too. That can be done by chips away or someone else afterward I assume.
  21. We have the Z insured in the missus name with me as the second driver, comes to about £800. Im 27, missus is 33. Ive never actually tried drifting, but have watched it at shows. A few of us were invited into the pits at donnington to have a look round the sumo power car and talk to the very friendly staff and driver of the Pink 350Z.
  22. JDM = Japanese Domestic Market.
  23. I think they can on some very top spec cars - the likes of Mclaren F1's and Bugatti Veyrons. But I dont think that kind of data logging has made it to mainstream cars yet.
  24. It wasnt last year! LOL. Actually the chap is fairly tall, but the ladies are also small. But it does look quirky! Im looking forward to the next drive out too!
