I thought that it would be the right thing for the job... Well - 44 pages of coding for me then... And you think im joking. See you in a while.... Edit - I think I might try the automatic method, although as our software is highly modified there is the chance that it will go horribly wrong. If it does - expect a brief blip in service whilst I put it back. LOL -

In the mean time dont forget that this page shows the last ten active posts regardless of when you log in or out: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/portal.php -
Are you after the bolts that attach to the wheel hub itself or the nuts that screw on to the bolts? If its just the nuts, I can lend you some until your desired ones turn up.

Ours is with Direct line, around the £500 level. But its insured as the missus car, as I get the dirty oil burner to take to work! LOL.

No - once you read anything it will go to read (light grey). But if you log on, see 100 unread posts, read 20 of them then log off for the night. When you log on again next morning, the other 80 will still be there. It basically leaves all the unread marks for ever until you read the thread. It also gives you the ability to mark entire sections as read if you want to. -
Can you put one in for me too Tim? Cheers, Chris.

Good news! - I believe I have found a solution.. It will keep all the unread flags set forever. But if you want to mark any specific areas as "read" you can do, leaving all other posts in other areas that you have not read yet, set to unread. Sound about right for folk? -

Ill have a look at this guys... I know its an issue, and it happens for me too. Especially if you log out, then log back in.. (which I do for testing every now and then) That wipes them out too.. Ill see what I can do as regards setting the unread posts to permanent and also giving an option for all new posts in the last X hours. -
and on a slightly damp road too! New underpants sir.

I'll tell you now those mcgards are a bit hard to get off without the right tools! Also, make sure whatever type of locking wheel nut you get, you dont have them tightened up with an impact wrench. That can break the mcgards keys, which will leave you in a mess. Always tighten any locking wheel nut by hand to avoid damage to the nut and or special key.

Jacko - its just over an hour to Donnigton from where I will be joining (Junction 29). Probably best to leave 1hr 30, from Jct 29 to get to donnington. Do you reckon we could meet at the tibshelf services (just 1 or 2 miles south of 29)at say 5:30 then?
-
Yes count us in for the meal (myself and Tracy). What time can we make the meeting at Donny?
-
I am up for this, but will have to join the Manchester brigade at a convinient point en route. Donnington Services?

Just to let you know this is being locked. I dont want to see another political argument rage. Ive said my piece and I feel that the moderators and admins will feel prety much the same way. We want to be here for the Z community, regardless of whether they are members of another site or not. It really doesnt matter to us. We all have one thing in common, and that is the very reason for the existence of the community. Its the 350Z. And I for one am going to enjoy this weather and get out and drive it!
-
This politics stops now. ANYONE accusing this site of splitting the community can come and have a chat with me at JAE. Watch this! www.DELETED.com. < look - its a link to another site! Now - anyone accusing us of splitting the community, or not acting in the best interest of owners - go and post a link to our site on that one. See how long it lasts. Any club or community wanting to act in the best interest of owners should allow the posting of information that may be of use to owners, regardless of its location. It is this single issue that annoys me. I couldn't give two hoots whether this one is free and that one charges money for certain things - thats a choice for owners to make. If they feel they would get £35 worth of benefit from the other forum over this one, so be it. If they are happy with the information thy get here for free, so be it. If they want to be a member of both - so be it. This site is here for the benefit of owners, and we will allow the posting of information relevant to the Z community regardless of whether that information is on this site or any another. WE WILL NOT censor links to information or other sites that may be of interest to the owners. So - whilst people on here may have little "digs" at other sites, (which we should all try to avoid), this is far from splitting the community. I apologise if this post offends anyone, but I have had enough of people pointing the finger at this site and accusing us of splitting the community. Whilst ever posts are made by moderators of other sites reffering to ours and saying: "Only w@nkers and sh1theads post there" Or whilst ever links to our site are censored out of pure spite, therefore pottentially denying owners access to information that may be useful to them - I will not be in any great hurry to chastise members here for having a little joke here or there. We do not censor links to other sites, we do not tollerate openly abusive posts towards other sites. Harmonising the community is a two way street, and short of censoring anything that could be construed as a slight "dig" we are doing NOTHING to split the community. Anyone who wants to accuse this site of splitting the Z community is free to come and have a chat with me at JAE, perhaps they will be able to answer some of the questions I have posed on other sites regarding this very censorship and split in the comunity issue? Sadly you will not be able to read them on another site as they have been deleted, several times over. Chris.

Tim, I get a lot of our office stuff from these guys: (they are in the same office complex as myself) www.aocomputers.co.uk They do some basic systems that will be fine for most needs, unless its heavy graphic work or game playing. They built me a pentium 3.2 server, with 2GB of DDR, and 4 200GB serial ATA drives for about £600+ VAT. You can also pick and choose what bits you want or what you dont. Very friendly folk, and they have a walk in shop at the office if you want to collect/visit. The expensive bit will be the TFT screen though. They start at around £100+ on their own. -

Im actually looking at replacing my desktop PC with a laptop. Flavour of the month for me is an Acer Ferrari. There are probably better laptops for the money, but I just love the design.
