  1. yup. £400 and you can take them all away.
  2. Still trying to find the answer to that question.. As Dorian says, this has happened previously with a google spider. However this time it wasn't a google spider. The site was checked at the time that this was happening, and we could see all the ip addresses of the "guests" on the site. These resolved back to various ISP's and all appeared to be bonafide visitors. The explanationsfor this can be either a virus targeting our site with a very poor attempt at a DOS attack (denial of service). Or we may have been mentioned on some other popular site, or even limited audiance broadcast. Whatever it was, it was very strange, as it was not a search engine - but actual individual connections.
  3. I think the fake football translation version is much funnier. LOL
  4. Hmm - it isa good idea in principle, but as Dorian mentions, it can be a legal minefield. All it takes is fo some dealer to become upset over certain comments, or pottentialy liebel statements, and it can spell trouble. This is the same for any internet forum, and it doesnt matter even if we restricted the said section to registered members or otherwise - a dealer could still sign up, see something they dont like and get shirty. You would hope that dealers would take any negative posts on the chin and do something about them, all in the spirit of improving service, and relationships with the customers - but we all know thats not how the real world works. Its certainly something that the mods/admins can discuss. great idea, and thanks for taking the time to suggest/discuss it
  5. Sarnie - did you check your PM's? Perhaps your browser doesnt allow pop-ups, so you dont get notified of them? Just drop one of the mods a note with your address and prefference of what sticker type (colour, external/internal placement) and we can get one on its way... Thats the same for anyone reaching 350 posts. Of course, for anyone who would like a sticker but doesnt feel they can wait until reaching the 350 posts level, they can be purchased.
  6. Its actually quite cheap to do, in fact it cost less than HALF that of the plasma. (total cost for the projector and screen was less than £900) I do want a HD projector, but they are VERY expensive! LOL. I must stay away from this thread though, otherwise Ill be sucked into buying a 360. Which given that I still havent honoured the IOU for the missus' birthday will probably not go down too well.
  7. Pah! - 37 - Ive got a 42 downstairs. And for the proper jumps when playing Doom3, or motion sickness in PGR, you cant beat the 84" upstairs. But then again Im a sad film and game geek with a belly to prove it. I think I will be getting a new latop, as I too like FPS games on the PC with a mouse - I also like the strategy games too, which never quite work on a console. But an xbox 360 keeps shouting at me
  8. Yes the roadster does have a big arse. But so do I, so it would be a little hypocritical of me to reject it on that basis.
  9. It is a lovely car Kev, and the paint does look different in the flesh, it looks as though its on the way to TVR style paint, a much deeper finish than most and it seems to have some chameleon (sp?) type attributes. Very nice indeed.
  10. Well - me and the missus had this debate (for about 10 minutes until she won). I do like the shape of the coupe, but for me, the roadster with the top down looks great. Though I admit with the top up it certainly loses its looks substantially. Fortunately the summer has been great this year, and I have had many a great day of motoring with the top down. Had the missus and I never owned a convertble before, we would probably have ended up with a coupe. But for anyone that has owned a conviertible and enjoyed driving around with the top down - switching to a coupe would be a drastic change. I dont know whether resale value will be better or not - to be honest I didnt buy a Nissan with resale value in mind LOL, but having said that the Z certainly seems to have some kind of allure that other marques dont have. The plus points to owning a roadster for me are: 1, you get to enjoy summer driving with the top down 2, you get to hear your exaust without having to wind the windows down 3, roadsters will always sell, no matter their age. The negative points 1, I think the coupe will always be considered by many to be the "propper" Z 2, There is more to go wrong (hood). 3, The storage can be an issue if you want to transport bulkier items. All in all, Im happy with the convertible, and I would have been happy with a coupe Im sure, but then Id be envious of all those 15 year old clapped out escort cabriolets in this weather.
  11. Kev - Ive got it fitted! Looks great, and I think the idle seems to be smoothed out a little. I used the two bolts with allen key heads to attach to the un-used points at the top of the plenum (as per a "how to" guide I found). I've taken some photos, and will post up later. Thanks again, Chris.
  12. Soooooo tempting. xbox 360 and pgr3 or Call of Duty 2. Mmmmmmmm
  13. Hi Kev, Nice to meet up last night, was great to be treated to an overview of your cars - that Cosworth looks absolutely fantastic - the effort and expense you have gone to with that car beggars belief! And the BMW - well - what can be said? That is one very, very nice car. A glance under that engine bay was like peering into the engineering section of the Startship Enterpise! And the toys you have to play with! I'd be inthe garage for a week! Thanks for the Circle Earth kit, Im planning on fitting it tomorrow - though Im guessing due to all your hard work first time around, It will be a substantially quicker installation than when you fitted it. Cant wait to see it completed and in place! Cheers, Chris.
  14. Well - seeing as there were a lot of people who though that the image could do with upatating, there is a distinct lack of entries.
  15. It was an 06 model. It had the new centre console layout (kitchen cabinet style roller shutter part). It was silver, didn't know they had changed the name from blade though. It most certainly had the phone controls. Honest!
  16. Im in exactly the same boat Glad you found us, and hope it comes in useful for you from time to time
  17. Quite sure it was a roadster. And yes it has the controls. It is a GT pask roadster if that makes any difference... I havent really had chance to go over an 06 roadster in fine detail before, so I took my opportunity whilst waiting for my lift to work. It was a blade, 06 model roadster, and it had the phone controls. Dont know about bluetooth, but the controls were there alright.
  18. I'd much preffer to leave our side of the organisation to Val and or Jacko, as they have much more experience in organising meets. They will make a better job of it than me I'm sure. Im much more comfortable doing the nerdy I.T. stuff on the site. LOL.
  19. LOL I had a goo look round the 06 roadster in the dealers today, and its got the phone controls, so why no bluetooth? I'm still thinking of retro fitting this to mine.
  20. Sounds like a plan Tim, but I reckon we should keep this thread just for the joint meet - which is pencilled in for May next year. I reckon any other meets should be discussed in other threads in order to keep things tidy?
  21. I suppose if any joint meet is set up for May 07, at least it gives everyone plenty of notice, and also allows us all to discuss & plan any activities that may be of ineterest to all those attending? Go karting sounds like fun, maybe even such things like paintballing could be considered? I dont know - depends on what everyone is comfortable with, or indeed if anyone has any contacts or experiences of venues that may help out too?
  22. Seems that we may have to go with that then Digsy. Its not a bad idea. I agree, perhaps we do something ourselves before the end of the year then - but that will be in another topic, lets keep this one for the National meet.
  23. If this is the case, perhaps we could all look around fora venue that is a possibility for 2006? What about a camp site with local amenities and entertainment?
