  1. Good point, but it seems a little bit of a hastle just to stop the gear knob getting hot - plus the roadster owners would have to put the roof up too. Maybe the plastic top off a deodorant can or something would do the trick?
  2. Tim - the one concern I have over the all metal gear knobs, is that in the sun they will get very hot. I have an all metal, or mostly metal one in the golf, and it gets red hot during the summer, so much so that I blast the aircon onto it for the first 10 minutes of th drive home after it being parked up at work all day. I take it from your previous post you have had this issue in the Z with this knob fitted?
  3. Who you calling old timer! LOL - Im still in my youth! Though the belly could do with a little work! You know that advert for Expedia.. The one with the voice at the end singing "Let yourself go....". Well every time it comes on I just sit back in my chair, look at my belly and say "yes... yes I have.." The missus found it funny first time, but then progressed onto sarcastic smiles, and then the throwing of soft furnishings.
  4. Ruddy Ell! Another thread to catch up on! Ive been busy all weekend, just logged on and Ive got 70+ topics to read! My god its busy in here!
  5. Personaly I dont read the spotted on ebay threads, but thats because Im a bit skint at present. You could just visit the spotted on ebay section and mark all the threads read - that way they are removed from your Unread posts menu. Its just a matter of using the various links to remove the sections that you may not be interested in. The spotted on ebay topics are prety useful I think, just not for those of us that are skint
  6. Well - in part yes. I have to wonder what Nissan hope to acheive with this. I for one will certainly not buy a New or nearly new model again, whats the point if they are going to outdate and devalue them within a year?
  7. It was one thing releasing the 06 roadster less thana year after the release of the 05 in the UK, but a new engine less than a year after the 06? That's two updates in less than two years. Most other manufacturers give you at least couple of years before outdating your product with a new model. The 06 owners must be pretty pi$$ed off right about now. Nissan certainly know how to alienate a customer base, and a customer base thathas purchased the flagship model non the less.
  8. so us 05 model owners are now two steps behind. Hmmm - if this is how quickly Nissan make our cars outdated, then I doubt the next one I buy will be a Nissan.
  9. Hi, and welcome! It is a shame about the weather on your first day - but Im sure you will still have a smile on your face when you pick it up!
  10. Whats that comin over the hill? Is it a monster? Nope. Its a padlock.
  11. Nobody is the leader. We just muddle through as a team!
  12. Ahh right - I see what you mean... Just for info, the back button in firefox does not give that error, as it caches the generated page. As I.E is still the "standard" browser though, moving to firefox is hardly a "fix" for the problem. Ill see what can be added or changed to get this to work in I.E.
  13. If they are all around 100x100 or as near as poss, it keeps things tidier (sp?) in my opiniion, but its not all my call! Im only the techy geek - not the forum leader or owt!
  14. here ya go.... All courtesy of http://www.gifworks.com/image_editor.html (its free, and does edits online - no software install needed!)
  15. Whilst peoples new found fun of animated avatars is quite interesting, do they really have to be so big? Some are stretching the user info section of the page display.
  16. Nope -I have implemented an Auto prune system on the "testing" section. Any threads in the testing section that have no replies or action within 72 hours are automaticaly deleted. When I implemented it, it removed any threads meeting that criterea (approx 4). Hence the posts dropping today. It has been set like that to remove the need for a mod to manually delete the threads in the testing area.
  17. please don't bait the animals. Kerchink...
  18. Mike - thats just ridiculous. Arent NCP car parks mostly covered by cctv? I know its hardly major crime a set of caps, but its the principal. May be worth asking them if they record it? Thankfully they came off without buggering up the valves though!
  19. No problems with speedhumps for me either - but I would steer well clear of multi-storey car parks. PS - Welcome aboard!
  20. And the roadster is another 100KG on top of that! Any weight saving procedures welcomed. And yes - Ive started with the driver.
  21. No problems Kevin, The rule of 15 posts can be waived when the item is clearly in the interests of the community (350z cars, or oem parts etc...)
  22. Until youve played counterstrike in multiplayer mode and shot someone point blank, only to hear your mate in the next room shour "you B**tard" at the top of their voice - you'll never know.
  23. I can vouch for the game playing aspect of a wireless mouse. If you want to gt really geeky about it, then you need to make sure that if it is an optical mouse, the resoloution is fairly high too, other wise that can affect your accuracy. I do miss online gaming/lan sessions.
