As a carry on from a previous topic, this is the place to discuss who is attending the National 350Z meet. This meet is for all 350Z owners, regardless of what forum or community they belong to. (many thanks to all those members of other communities for pulling together to make this happen) Please add your name to the list if you wish to attend such an event. As yet there is no confirmed location, or even date - its an idea in progress. The dates locations will be added as soon as they are confirmed. Feel free to discuss anything else related to this meet, but please always end your post with the list of those attending - so the list never gets lost. in that case then I hope nobody has any objections to starting a whole new topic with the list of names in, and locking this one? That way it is easier to start off with the whole thing back on topic?

I get this on the Golf I own, after numerous months of trying to figure out just what wa causing it, I now take to touching the car on the inside with the key before I get out - almost habbit now. I dont experience it on the Z though. So perhaps its the material on the seats (golf is not leather).

Its a completely seperate event to the the OC member only national meet - as I can totally understand that trying to sort out the complications of paying members, non paying members, and other forum members all joinging in on an already organised event would be difficult. I believe this one is now another meet, where people from any forum at all who own a 350Z can come along to. Hope thats right and I havent got hold of the wrong end of the stick.. If that is the case - I think we should split this post and carry on with the names of interested parties, removing the other 4 pages of discussion, as its no longer relevant to this National meet?

Sounds like it. But there is still some debate over whether the 06 will actually come with the BT adaptor, or whether it will still be an extra, just that the car is "ready" for it. The debate goes on here: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... highlight=

There is an 06 owner picking his up today, hopefuly he will be able to answer the question for us. Once he gets back from driving around all day of course

Would love to read the responses Slim, and would love to help out arrange a combined meet if possible, but as I cant acess the OC it makes both options a little difficult. (perhaps that could have been addressed before attempting to publicly berate me?) As for the idea being put forward before - no I dont remember this, as I was only a member of the old site for 2 weeks before it changed/morphed. But the main point is that I agree, it would be good to have a truly national meet, with as many Z's as possible, but until someone over on the OC either re-instates my account so I can contribute, or contacts me via PM or email - I cant do a dman thing toward helping out acheive that. As Sunny says though, lets stick to a national meet thread. perhaps we can see a show of names on this thread, just to see who would attand such a meeting? Can we have the location, dates and times added tothe top of a list of names? Ill kick it off with my name (cut and paste the list of names and some kind soul add the dates and times to the top ) 1: Chesterfield

Then perhaps you should have taken advantage of the free ones that were given out to people back in April for a track day show. Of course there will always be events that people would preferr over others, and no club in the world will be able to offer discounted rates for every single event. So we try and do what is best for the members. We did hand out £300 worth of T-shirts to our members this last weekend, but if its other tickets that float peoples boats - Ill have to see what can be done here. There is always the opportunity of suggesting what you would like to see offered to members, perhaps if there is enough interest in certain events, there is the possibility of seing what can be arranged. I dont attend that many events, so my finger is not on the pulse regarding these matters - let me know what the most popular events are, and I shall try my hardest to sort things out for the members - cant say fairer than that.

LOL - I thought there would have been. I did catch one where you were talking to a guy who was planning on upping the power to 550bhp, on something that seemed to be on standard running gear.. he said that would probably be the end of the project. Your comment of "yep - I think that will be the end of it too" almost made me cry from laughing.

I really dont know - and I really dont want to speculate about the inner workings of another community. It certainly seems though that no bridges will be built here, so perhaps we could start suggesting dates and venues for our own "National Meet". Once decided, we can then offer invitations the other way if we wish - someone has to make the first move toward a true National meet for 350Z owners, regardless of what site (if any) they are members of. As we are a 100% free community, then perhaps we have fewer obstacles to overcome in order to offer something to all owners? I dont know? I just like the idea of as many Z's in one place as possible - any meets organiser want to take the lead - or have I just made a rod for my own back? LOL.

Hope its all going well! And yes - please do tell us about th bluetooth - if its not there, ask the dealer and see what the answer is. Im hoping that you do get it, or are told that you will get it as soon as stock arrives (or something along those lines) However, if you have taken the day off, I doubt we will see you on here today - LOL you'll be having way too much fun.

Matty - there are other clubs yes. Although there is no "official" Nissan 350Z club. Is that really the case? I thought that there was? There is no UK club with ties to Nissan UK. The other 350z site in the uk is www.DELETED.com The only difference in my opinion being that the name conatins the words ownersclub. If that really is an issue and people feel more comfortable clicking something that says "owners club", feel free to navigate to www.DELETED.co.uk Feel free to join up, and even pay the £35 or so to access much of the same discounts and information as is/are provided here for free. Our community will never frown upon people being members of two sites, and will never censor links to other sites. Please also feel free to ask similar questions on that other site about the existence of ourselves and see what reaction you are greeted with. Now that the "other site" has been pointed out to people, the question that started this topic has been well and truly answered. Therefore I am closing this topic before it takes a turn for the worse. Every owner or furture owner can make up their own mind as to which site they preffer, or indeed if they want to be members of both. For my part I am just dissapointed that the same discussions are not allowed on other sites. I really must stop now, as in my present frame of mind and recent actions by people from the other side, I am highly likely to type something I will later come to regret. locked.
