I did think we were aiming toward a 2006 meet to be honest. I hopethis is the case, hence my suggestion of people putting forward proposed dates. I think the chosen venue is OK. perhaps we can look for local entertainment around the selected venue? First item after the proposed venue would be date - then we can work on activities. Of course if the concensus is that there are not enough activities, then perhaps a venue could be altered - but that is a bridge we can cross when/if we get to it. Ive emailed P15 and told him that we will get an opinion on timing/date from here and compare over email - its going to be difficult enough to organise on one community, let alone two or more, so as long as we keep together over key points such as date/time etc it should be possible to arrange a joint meet. Hi P15, (sorry too many real names of late to remember) Glad to see you. The initial choice of venue seems good. The official site for it is here: http://duxford.iwm.org.uk/ Hopefully there will be the opportunity for some good group photos in front of or around hangars etc? Has anyone contacted the Z club? If the aim is to gather as many 350Z's as possible perhaps that is another avenue we can explore? As there are other events organised for various times in September, Perhaps we should go for an October meeting? I know that pushes it toward the end of season, but perhpas a National meet/gathering could be used to mark the end of the show season? Other than that we need to go for August, but that is probably quite short notice. As a carry on from a previous topic, this is the place to discuss who is attending the National 350Z meet. This meet is for all 350Z owners, regardless of what forum or community they belong to. (many thanks to all those members of other communities for pulling together to make this happen) Please add your name to the list if you wish to attend such an event. As yet there is no confirmed location, or even date - its an idea in progress. The dates locations will be added as soon as they are confirmed. Feel free to discuss anything else related to this meet, but please always end your post with the list of those attending - so the list never gets lost. I get this on the Golf I own, after numerous months of trying to figure out just what wa causing it, I now take to touching the car on the inside with the key before I get out - almost habbit now. I dont experience it on the Z though. So perhaps its the material on the seats (golf is not leather).

Its a completely seperate event to the the OC member only national meet - as I can totally understand that trying to sort out the complications of paying members, non paying members, and other forum members all joinging in on an already organised event would be difficult. I believe this one is now another meet, where people from any forum at all who own a 350Z can come along to. Hope thats right and I havent got hold of the wrong end of the stick.. If that is the case - I think we should split this post and carry on with the names of interested parties, removing the other 4 pages of discussion, as its no longer relevant to this National meet?

Sounds like it. But there is still some debate over whether the 06 will actually come with the BT adaptor, or whether it will still be an extra, just that the car is "ready" for it. The debate goes on here: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... highlight=

Would love to read the responses Slim, and would love to help out arrange a combined meet if possible, but as I cant acess the OC it makes both options a little difficult. (perhaps that could have been addressed before attempting to publicly berate me?) As for the idea being put forward before - no I dont remember this, as I was only a member of the old site for 2 weeks before it changed/morphed. But the main point is that I agree, it would be good to have a truly national meet, with as many Z's as possible, but until someone over on the OC either re-instates my account so I can contribute, or contacts me via PM or email - I cant do a dman thing toward helping out acheive that. As Sunny says though, lets stick to a national meet thread. perhaps we can see a show of names on this thread, just to see who would attand such a meeting? Can we have the location, dates and times added tothe top of a list of names?
