  1. All confirmed attendees should now have received a PM providing access details to the itinerary for the day. If you have not received this or have a problem downloading the document, please can you let us know. Regards, Chris.
  2. I couldnt be bothered to go from kg to pounds but made the jump from MM to inches just fine ok its 35.3lb/sq ft and 40.5lb/sq ft. happy.
  3. Not that Im a geek, but, the GT-R is roughly 6 inch longer than a Sierra Cossie, and approx 8 inches wider. The difference in area is over 12.8 Square feet. The weight of a cossie is therefore 16.02kg per square foot and the weight of the GTR is 18.4kg per square foot. An increase of 13% in weight per square foot of car area. [/geek]
  4. And these ofrward facing cameras detect motorbikes how exactly? That is the single argument needed to quash ANY theories put forward that the cameras are about safety and not revenue. A road safety device that does not affect the single group most at risk of death or serious injury, cannot be classed as a road safety device. End of chat. Bikers represent about 2-3% of road users but account for about 50% of fatalities on the roads. If these things are rolled out across the land then Ill tootle about in the Z and probably end up killing myself having fun on a hyabusa!
  5. Is the new issue of Total Nissan out now? I want I want I want !
  6. No. Pre 2006 models the bluetooth is an option, and you may require the purchase of this module, about £80 if I recall, depending on whether the previous owner has fitted one or not. After 2006, it should be a standard fitment, but of course the previous owner may have had no use for it and sold it to someone with a 2005 modle for £80. My advice would be to check first if you require this and haggle if necessary.
  7. Ive recently changed to Toyo T1-R's all round and can thoroughly reccomend them. The difference from the standard Bridgestone is quite incredible.
  8. I believe that is already in discussion. Shire? Beavis?
  9. The 50 deadlifts of 135 pounds is a piece of cake. Its the 2x25 pull ups that are a little difficult, thats 260 pounds. Probably something to do with the pieces of cake.
  10. Hi and welcome Always great to see new members join up, and coming along to the Wales run is probably the best way of enjoying your Z as a new member! Have you been to any other meets or shows before?
  11. Its some meet when you are the poor relation in a Porsche Cayman.
  12. Alex, Thanks for sorting these out for people, its great
  13. You see what you have to do Martin is promise the missus a shopping trip to the Metro Centre, so she cant actually see the ammount of stuff being fitted to the car.... Not that I would know....
  14. I say embarras the planks at court, also ensure that you take a letter from your employer stating that you are having to take half day unpaid to attend. No stopping before 7, and then do you for parking at 8... Hmmm
  15. Im in, would like them before Wales 1. Shire 2. Chesterfield
  16. Hmm perhaps the in car PC is the way forward? Wiring the phone wires to ausb input and having that control the phone via bluetooth. Certainly possible, but it would seem a massively long way round and bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut. The car has a blutooth device, the radio has bluetooth control, and the steering wheel has buttons to control it. Exactly how hard can it be for an audio manufacturer?
  17. In that case, there should be a way to retain the controls from the steering wheel. Whether there is one or not is another matter.
  18. I would suspect that there will be a way to retain all the functionality of the steering wheel controls with an aftermarket head unit, including the bluetooth phone controls. It will be a case of ensuring you have the right head unit, and a suitable cable adaptor to feed said head unit with all the controls. I am currently researching this myself as a decent aftermarket dvd/tv/nav unit would be nice, but also want to retain the functionality of the steering wheel as you do. My Altea appears on the face of it to have EXACTLY the same software controling a bluetooth interface to my phone as the Z, even down to the voice. So I suspect there will be a manufacturer out there somewhere that has made the necessary harness to acheive this with aftermarket head units.
  19. Just on a side note if you are having issues with a full or overflowing mailbox Phil, let me know and Ill get the limits changed to help.
  20. If you used tabbed browsing, you can always right click on an unread topic and select open in new tab, which will leave your list of unread topics untouched.
  21. Unfortunately that is not possible with the current code. You can use the recent topics to find articles that have been posted since a certain date/time, or you can use the view unread posts to see all items that you have not visited. If you wish to clear all unread topics before you leave, then simply click "Mark All forums read" when on the forum index page. If you wish to mark all topics read within a certain section, then you click "Mark all topics read" from within that section. Though at present, there is no way of excluding specific sections from the results when you search for unread topics. Hope that helps
  22. Yes. If the car was being sold by a company such as yours, it would give me a much increased level of confidence in the vehicle without a doubt. With the experience you have, combined with your reputaion on forums such as this and others, I doubt this would be anything other than positive for your business.
  23. If anyone wants the full size versions emailing to them of the pics I have just let me know which they are (the filename has a 3 digit number) and Ill email them over
  24. Ahh that would be the Alpine concept vehicle built in the US. Based on an R500 only the roof remains unchanged. The doors have the seats integrated into them, car can be driven from either seat, and it has 26 inch rims on the front and 30 inch on the rear. Somehow I dont think Mercedes will be launching it any time soon.
  25. I would have liked to take more, but my fingers were blue as it was!
