Hi and welcome along. As above watch out for gallery gaskets. Rust can be a problem as with all older cars. Oh and they do like a petrol station.....😃

Clutch slave cylinders tend to go, best to get a 'reinforced' one when you do the clutch. Gallery gaskets (low oil PSI at idle) can go too, but apart from that, pretty solid. Get some pics up 😀

Hello everybody, me and my friend have both saved a 350z from the scrapyard and it is the 2009 3.5L V6 GT pack roadster and it needs a new clutch and a couple body parts but glad to be an owner of such a car. Does anyone know the extremely common faults on these models for us to look out for? Thank you 🙏

Hi all, I'm just wondering what you folks would think my 350Z is worth as a private sale. I'm sorry I don't have any upto date photos right now, plus she needs a good wash. Details as follows: 2005 DE GT spec (Brembos, xenons, leather seats, heated seats, cruise control, BOSE with amp & sub), 118k on the clock, blade silver, standard bodywork, a few stone chips around the front with a tiny split on the lower edge of the front bumper by the small black splitter thing, a small area of rust on the OSF wheel arch directly above the tyre, a small amount of corrosion on the OSR wheel arch (not creeping onto the outer paintwork). Oil & filter every 6 months regardless of mileage (roughly 4000 a year). I've owned the car since September 2016 & bought it on 74k. New NGK spark plugs fitted around March this year, covered roughly 3000 miles. Set of 4 Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres fitted in May this year then had a Hunter alignment on all 4 wheels, rears are 255, not standard 245 width. Mods: Ark Grip cat back exhaust with rear bumper tuck, velocity stack (from a member on here) in the airbox with K&N panel filter, window tints nicely done & not too dark, 18" Bola B1 in gloss black I think, 06+ Nissan LED rear tail lights, tonneau cover also from a member on here, Xtreme stage 1 organic clutch with lightened SMF. There's no doubt a few bits I've forgot too. Just a ball park figure so I can decide whether to PX or sell privately.

I have genuine nissan Auto gearbox oil available . Drop me a message and I'll check what I have available. -
I would have removed and replaced the tape personally 😁

Not the usual topic of water ingress into the boot well, by the spare wheel (lots of discussion on that). In my case I had rain collecting inside the actual boot lid. I would only notice this when I opened the boot and water would pour out from under the top trim pieces above the rear glass either side of the high brake light, and it would fall over the rear console where the speaker and rear glove box are. After a heavy rain there could be as much as 1/2 litre. Anyway, after checking all the boot and window seals, I found the cause - it was rolling off the back window to the rear OEM spoiler and getting in along the front edge of this, and then down through the bolt and clip holes that secure the spoiler. There was a gap between the spoiler and lid, enough to get a slim credit card into. When I removed all of the trim on the upper lid it was wet on the inside. 2 fixes. The proper one is to remove the spoiler and old sealing tape, then replace with new tape and re-install. For a quicker fix I masked off the leading edge of the spoiler and the boot lid leaving just a few mill gap where the spoiler meets the lid. Clear outdoor sealant along the whole edge and then pushed into the gap with a finger. Once the masking is removed this filled the gap perfectly without being visible and solved the leak. It's also solved the condensation issue on the rear screen as it's dry as a bone now. Hope this helps someone else

That’s quite a detailed comparison and helps a lot thanks

I just plumbed the question into CoPilot (I'm playing around with it never used it before) Which Should You Choose? FXE22HR11 is a direct OE long-life iridium plug—reliable, designed for hybrid VQ series engines. IXEH22TT delivers advanced twin‑tip ignition technology, potentially boosting throttle response, torque, and fuel efficiency, while also maintaining high durability. Practical rule: FXE22HR11 sticks more strictly to OE specs; IXEH22TT offers an upgrade in combustion performance without changing fitment or heat range. Pretty cool eh?

Hi, Quick question, apart from the price, what’s the difference between these two Denso plugs for the HR engine? Manual shows FXE22HR11, Denso catalogue lists them and Denso iridium TT IXEH22T Car currently has the TT ones fitted, just curious if to swap them out for the originals or go with the same again?

I want to keep this car until the day I die, it’s basically my life mission now. I’ve started making a list of everything I need to take care of. I’ll be buying all the parts over the next few months and fitting/replacing them at a friend’s garage. I’m planning to change the gearbox oil as well. One question though, you mentioned that you used Motul S ATF, but I couldn’t find that product. There’s a Motul Multi ATF available, do you think that would work or should I do more research? -

Fluid for life is a marketing thing. Oil degrades slowly over time from heat, contamination, and additive breakdown... that's just fact. There is no oil that Nissan could put in at the factory that wouldn't degrade. With fresh oil you'll have optimum wear protection, heat management and crisper shifting. Ultimately the box will last longer. Do you need to panic to change it now? No, do it at the next service or when time/money allows. Could you run an auto box without ever changing the oil? Yes, probably. A lot will come down to what is your intention for the car? Are you intending to keep it? Or just run it for a bit and sell it? -
Can you share the link if you are still around? 😁

So fluid for life is not actually fluid for life? I am really lost. I just want to keep my car in the best condition and can't decide if I need to change or not. I don't feel anything wrong with the car, but wouldn't mind paying a couple hundred if it is going to save me from a couple thousand in the future -
Hi I have just booked a Club ticket and 1 passenger ticket for the Club Stand using the link given out by Nath If you are making a list of who is going can you please add me to it. Cheers
