For the longest time my ride heights been a little funny, the front being way higher than the back. So I bought the right C-Spanners from BC and adjusted it... At first we made it far too low, I loved the way it looked at this height but I was scraping on any change in the road surface (RIP flexies) So I went back in and fixed it (about an inch lower than original and 1.5" higher than the too low) - while in there I found that one of the previous owners had overdone the preload by over 2"s lol - so I reset that to the BC recommended 5mm - so as well as ride height looking a lot better my ride quality has vastly improved too. I set my rebound to 5 clicks stiff of centre in the front and dead centre in the rear unfortunately compression on nearly all of the struts is seized so I can't adjust that for now.

Genuine illuminated Nissan kick plates, as new condition and totally unmarked and in original box. These really are like new. Will require splicing in as I cut off the socket adapter, it won't be a difficult job. Asking for £100 inclusive of postage.

I guess that despite being a bodged repair, if it was bodged back into it's correct position it probably isn't responsible for the noise.
-
I've been trying to identify a noise from the front hubs for a couple of weeks... it's sort of binding brakes/front wheel bearing noise even though with the car on the lift the hub rotates freely, and the wheel bearing feels okay. I decided sod it I'll fit new hubs and a seal kit for the calipers, and when stripping the front hub down on the drivers side I found some monkey had previously broken the ABS sensor tab off, and had glued the ABS sensor into the hub! I'm wondering if this is the root cause, although can't figure how.

The shield rotted on our dog car... a bullet proof 23 year old Toyota SUV.... and I just ripped it off and carried on. No problems.

ZMANALEX started following 370Z Cat heat shields - replacement?
-
I just remove the shields on both the 350 and 370 for my customers and do not replace them.
-
Mine was a pain, the slave cylinder went & was replaced FOC by the garage I bought the Z off. I supplied a HEL braided line to go on. They said it was a nightmare too, something to do with the square valve block thing behind the NSF wheel arch liner. I still wasn't happy so bled it again on the drive & it's been right as rain for the last 8 years.

After 20 years ownership, my clutch finally surrendered after it's last "send" at the M6 toll gate. It all started well. Windows down as I tapped to pay the toll fee. Barrier went up. Revved her up and dumped the clutch and we were off. Smiling like a Cheshire Cat as she took off , VQ trumpeting away sweetly through my Scorpion exhaust. Changed to 2nd..... Revs climbing sweetly Reached for 3rd......WTF! Was as if I was Captain Kirk with Scotty telling me "The dilithium crystals are smoking.......she canny take any more Captain" Smelt that nasty burning clutch smell and it just wouldn't hook up. Tried 4th gear.....NADA. Tried 5th then 6ht.....NADA. Just revved with no power. After a couple seconds she finally engaged 6th and I cruised her gently back to Manchester. It had had the odd slip before anyway so I bit the bullet and had a new clutch, dual mass flywheel, slave and master cylinder fitted. Garage told me it was a nightmare it was to bleed. Drove home and after 30 min the clutch pedal wouldn't come back up without me flicking it back up with my foot. Back it went to the garage. Pedal felt 90% better but again garage said they struggled to get any pedal feels at all to begin with and they "think" it's good but to bring it back if any problems......very confidence inspiring....NOT Alas, same story. After spirited driving for 15in I lost pedal feel. So I returned to the garage again armed with some tips from @davey_83 and another zed friend. The garage was amazed...... INSTANT SUCCESS 1. Was to pre fill the slave cylinder with fluid. 2 Was to bleed the clutch using the attached guide Hope this helps people who have similar bleeding woes.

Welcome back to the OC. Alot of O.G members names being mentioned which brings back so many good memories. I remember the the old days with the "other" forum headed by Giles and his NA tuned 350z. I actually joined there first and moved to here about a year later when Giles got an R35 and they changed to "Nissansprtz" I've seen my Zed forum experience change over 2 decades from the heady excitement hearing everyone's experience with "Collinite" car wax, importing Nismo LMGT4 wheels on group buys via member/traders like ESR. Now as I squint trying to type this as I can't find my reading glasses I'm more reading about people's battles with rot and rust........ failing parts, and how hard a time new members are having trying to find a half decent 350z to buy. Nismo made 300 (think they only ended up makeing 276) homologation cars for a race series. Using the JDM 2007/8 z33 Nismo chassis which had some extra welding to strengthen the chassis, a load of nismo parts to it , bodywork, suspension, exhaust. They then added a 3.8L forged engine making 350bhp (detuned for the road cars ). The race cars were 400bhp. I now buy these instead of paying into a pension 🤣

Thanks for the replies Guys. I will have to learn how to do Photo's. It's kind of difficult as i only have a company e mail address and no e mail or wassap on my phone so i really need to become a tad more teckie. Just took delivery of a facelift Convertible engine donor so hopefully will have the Golden beast on the road v soon. I have loads of photo's on my phone and on a memory card so will sort out how to post them asap. Got a major surgery on the 23rd followed by 6 weeks recovery so that qwill be the ideal time for a tech self education session 🙂

Ok, whats a 380RS???
-
They are 20" BBS LMR. Had to get them custom made to match the Amuse Superleggera car as you cant get them in the correct spec. amuse used a pcd convertor on their car which I didn't want to do.
