Hi everyone my name is John and I'm new to the forum.

I'm thinking about buying a 350z and was looking for some advice please.

I've done a bit of Google searching and I see there are 3 engines.

the early one then the Rev up then a later one.

lot of different stories about rev ups using loads of oil etc.

just want to know wot to avoid or wot is recommended please.

thanks in advance

John

Thanks for those links I've had a quick read.

I'm mainly wanting some advice on the engines.

are they all ok or any to avoid or aim for

thanks

Depends on your budget really and also what interior/exterior you like.

The HR engine is the newest incarnation in a 350Z so that's what I'd aim for if you can but then they are a lot more money to buy than the earlier first gen DE engine 350Z's.

Not got a huge budget to be honest.

£6000 tops really.

are there many diffences in the interior and exterior designs.

is the HR engine a lot better than the DE engine..?

Also wot about the DE rev up engine.?

Rather than me trying to write out all the differences between the models have a read here when you get 5 mins: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_350Z

Early 350Z interior.

2006 onward's interior.

For £6K you're looking at either a DE or DE RevUp. Personally I'd try to find a really good DE as the tax bracket is less although some of the RevUp models do have a lower tax bracket depending on when they where first registered. In saying that though the tax difference is still small.

FSH is a must imo and tbh the mileage doesn't really bother me but you may want to try to get a lower mileage model if you can.
