StevoD Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I actually had to google what a CR-V looks like. My god, what a bland, boring, white good of a car that is! Please, get something more interesting! could always spice it up with a type R gearknob Quote
MLC35 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 "what would you buy for the wife ?" I dont know how much i would get for her these days, certainly not enough to buy a car.... 1 Quote
Ekona Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 could always spice it up with a type R gearknob At least mine was done for performance purposes, rather than just for show Quote
StevoD Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 could always spice it up with a type R gearknob At least mine was done for performance purposes, rather than just for show so how much faster round snet is it now with a M sport knob Quote
pjf1985 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 How about the Qashqai? My brother has one and he is very pleased with it. Quote
Ekona Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 so how much faster round snet is it now with a M sport knob No idea, but it's a much more positive shift so worth every penny. Quicker than if I'd slapped some stickers on the side though!* Which, come June, is exactly what I'll be doing 1 Quote
Ekona Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Qashqai is a good shout, mate has one and is happy enough with it. Plenty of toys, too! Quote
snoged Posted January 26, 2015 Author Posted January 26, 2015 point taken about the diesel v petrol she has seen this http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201312200631731/sort/locasc/price-to/10000/postcode/sw83pd/price-from/8000/radius/1500/page/1/model/rav4/make/toyota/usedcars/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew?logcode=p ill have a look at the Honda next thanks for all the input ! ZEUS Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I'd say go for a Qashqai , my Mrs has one and she loves it. I like driving it too. Quote
techinstaller Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Im actually surprised that no one mentions the KIa Sportage ? its a similar crossover type 4x4 class but can be bought in the 2 wheel drive spec which is probably best unless really need the 4x drive The specs can be really good if you want leather etc with all the bit like heated front and rear seats panoramic roof ,DRL ,Xenons the go for a sportage 3 spec It beats the nissan Squashki hands down and is bigger with beter spec The wife dragged me to look at all the fords as she had a galaxy but the are all quite dated inside imo ,we tried the squashki but it felt small and the looks just didnt do it for me. I bought her the Sportage 3 diesel and she loves it so do all her friends ,theres a few husbands under pressure in the circle of friends now ... 1 Quote
ioneabee Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 friends of mine have the kia and I think a bit "meh", but they like it - good alternative to the above 2 though Quote
The G Man Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 One of my daughters' has one of these, she loves it, looks great and has most if not all of the bells and whistles. I particularly like the panoramic glass roof. The new Quashqai looks like it's been beefed up from the previous model, none of them are my particular type, but for a young family a pretty good choice. The CRV still looks like A Barbie car. Quote
nissanman312 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Anything feels meh after the z so I'd go with the reliability of the Honda 1 Quote
Bems Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 OP's budget is 10k. The Kia sport age for that price would be the old model which is rather dated. Quote
GMballistic Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 point taken about the diesel v petrol she has seen this http://www.autotrade...w,new?logcode=p ill have a look at the Honda next thanks for all the input ! Might be worth having a good read and maybe asking some questions on this site if you're/she is serious about the Toyota. Link: http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/114805-22d4d-problems/ Personally I wouldn't but that's only because I'm not a diesel fan. Quote
