370Ad Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 Seriously why haven't these threads merged yet? or one deleted at the start of yesterday...This is getting very confusing. Because the car is so epic it deserves two threads! I know, but it's easier to watch the arguments in one thread Haha true. My fault really as I created mine last. I am going to the 2015 Mustang Open Day at Bill Shepherd in Surrey if anyone is interested. Its on the 31st January. Quote

chips Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 I had a current model v6 rental convertible for a week last year. count out the 2.3. v8 is a serious contender though!!! no doubt it's a cool looking car from the outside. (I'd say an equal measures for the 370z.) interior and options of the rental was well below the nissan and performance wasn't a match but being a new model fittings and a 5l should bring it up to speed. Ekona Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Ironically the V6 is the base model, with the 2.3 sitting just under the V8. Quote
Paddy78 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 They'll surely phase the V6 out as it is totally pointless with the other engine options. Quote

KyleR Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 The V6 will probably stay because at least it will still sound close to a proper Mustang, rather than the probable 4 pot + turbo whine/spool noise of the Ecoboost. Quote
grahamc Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I read an article yesterday that said the the 4 pot and the v8 were coming to the UK, not the v6 Quote
KyleR Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I read an article yesterday that said the the 4 pot and the v8 were coming to the UK, not the v6 Yup, but the V6 will remain in the US for this run and for the foreseeable future I imagine. Quote
Rock_Steady Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 if I squint a bit, it looks like an audi A5 Quote
Grundy Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 if I squint a bit, it looks like an audi A5 For me I think it looks similar (from a side view) to the BRZ/86 1 Quote

pjf1985 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 With a lot better wheels! I'm not a fan of either, I'd put some new rims on regardless. Quote
pjf1985 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) The V8 wheels are nice Yeah they're alright, I'd still "need" to change them though Edited January 23, 2015 by pjf1985 Quote

Ekona Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 There is no better wheel than an OEM wheel. Unless it has BBS written on it. Quote

Does it really matter if you use American wheels on it? I know they have to be able to fit but I'd still want to be putting JDM wheels on my Stang lol. Edited January 23, 2015 by pjf1985 Quote
