VRRacing Posted April 27, 2015 Author Posted April 27, 2015 Hopefully this will help with the lack of rear visibility. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
fake ben taylor Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I've been looking at time attack myself for next year, which class have you gone in? Quote
GMballistic Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I take it you got 2nd in your class then? Gotta be happy with that for the first time out. Well done. Quote
Jetpilot Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 (edited) Can't imagine there's much in it. Probably in the region of 2kgs a wheel which is a vast difference when it comes to unsprung weight Loving the project though, any overall weight of the car now? Edited April 29, 2015 by Jetpilot 1 Quote
andlid Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Like that dip a lot! Go with the rays as the guys say, not sure regarding clearance of those akebonos if you wouldnt mind testing then I know my akebonos will clear my rays LOL Quote
VRRacing Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 Selling my Akebonos as soon as my new ones arrive if you're interested. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
VRRacing Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 Almost finished adding the bulk head/firewall. Adds weight but I like it. Acoustic carpet on the drivers side to keep things civil. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
VRRacing Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 camera works too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
djtimo Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Whats the thinking for the fire wall? Rear mount rad? Quote
Neilp Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Whats the purpose of the bulkhead? Never heard of any 350 track cars having this done. Quote
AliveBoy Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Whats the purpose of the bulkhead? Never heard of any 350 track cars having this done. I wouldn't be suprised if it's for a fuel cell or something similar in the future. I've been thinking about adding a bulkhead to mine, purely so I can turn it into a pickup Is the rear view mirror expensive? Looks awesome Quote
VRRacing Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 Rear cam and screen £30 eBay. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
VRRacing Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 (edited) Partly for a firewall for a accusump if we fit one, NOS, possible fuel tank etc and partly to keep things nice and civilised in the front. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited May 20, 2015 by VRRacing Quote

MrLizard Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 awesome project VR, the rays are lighter but you gain more from the width of the rota's having tried both having said that some huge width rays would be better also add the triple adjustable AST to your list Quote
VRRacing Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 The ASTs look pretty good. Another Dutch contender. All the top damper people seem to be Dutch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Jetpilot Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Quantum or Ohlins would be my choice if i had the budget Quote
VRRacing Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 (edited) As good as I know Ohlins are they didn't fill me with confidence when I spoke to them. Basically said, we don't to a set for full out track stuff but we could probably make something. Quantum on the other hand seem very helpful Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited June 28, 2015 by VRRacing Quote
Bodyboarder81 Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 From what I can see ohlins only make one set of coilovers for the zed? Is that correct ? @£2500 as well ! Quote
VRRacing Posted July 1, 2015 Author Posted July 1, 2015 Yeah something like that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
