pjf1985 Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Mismatched front and rear wheels? What are your opinions and is anyone running a set up like this? I quite like it tbh Quote
AliveBoy Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Looks silly, don't even really like it on drift cars 1 Quote
Zedd Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Looks like you ran out of money, and stole the fronts 2 Quote
Grundy Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Pfft that's so early this year! Been there, done that, got the T-shirt 1 Quote
LRF4N Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I can understand it on drift cars but no idea why someone would do it cos it looks 'good' Quote
Ekona Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I really like it. It's good to see something different, and it can really make the car stand out in a crowd. 1 Quote

AliveBoy Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I've seen left and right sides being different before, much prefer that as it doesn't look wrong, so long as the wheel specs are the same Quote

brillomaster Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 nah cant say I'm a fan to be honest... I think it just about works on a drag car, where one set of wheels are there to provide huge amounts of torque, and the others are just to prop the other end of the car up. but on a regular road car or even a track or drift car, same wheels front and back. brillomaster Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 mismatched tyres on the other hand, I actually agree with... (flame suit on) my argument has always been that front and rear axles do fundamentally different things, I want ability to put power down on the rears, and then I want a tyre that has good cornering and change of direction characteristics on the front. for this reason I normally go for directional tyres on the front, and asymmetric tyres on the rear. StevoD Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Hmm even on a drift car looks nasty doesn't look 'professional' I get it on drag cars and some track cars if brand a front is lighter than brand b but when it comes to rear it's the other way round Quote
