Think of getting 19s but have a 2 questions

The alloys I like need spacers (25mm front) (20mm rears).

 

Will it need lowering to look right?

 

I would like to use my car on a track day now and again, are decent spacers safe to use?

Not necessarily ... the outside diameter of the tyre will remain the same so if you're happy with the stance now then you've no need to lower the car

Yes but the handling will be affected

With 19" wheels lowering completes the look, I'd be inclined to remove the spacers for track work...

Can you not get the alloys you want with an offset that means you don't need the spacers at all?

 

I have 19" Rotas supplied by CS (Cougar Store) above which are great imo and negate the need for any spacers at all.

 

Maybe ask Mitz a bit more to see if he can help.

19 inch Rota GTRs from Mitz at the Cougastore, lowered, no spacers..

Give Rare Rims a shout, they'll suggest some 19's with the correct offset that won't need spacers.

^^^ speed bumps-the worst thing ever invented ever

I'm running slightly lower than standard (30mm) and I definitely don't look good going over them pulling faces and holding up traffic

If you lower on Tein S Spring which is what most do about £170 for the Springs plus fitting. Mitz will sort you out.

I'v got RSR suspension which I can adjust but it just doesn't look the same any higher! Rather it looked mint and avoid the speed bumps than have it any higher! :-)

I can't avoid speed bumps. My road is full of them!

 

Seems like there are too many cons to having 19s versus one pro of it looking better. I'll have to stick with Rays but I guess that will easier to accept when driving down a bumpy road with speed bumps

Actually, after looking at the picture you decided it looked much better lowered and therefore now you want that too

 

It'll look no worse than 18's as the tyre circumference is the same and in fact lowered on 18's will also look better than it does now.

Actually, I never noticed the back was loads higher than the front with my 18s on, same circumference or not. It don't look like that picture, that's for sure.
