They've always had a good few Zeds, I remember lookin' at some of their ads when I was looking for mine. You are right though there are some dodgy rumours about them flying around, so hopefully someone on here can give you some first hand experience. They seem tidy enough but what the service is like or if you had to come back to them is possibly the issue? (from stuff I heard)

I got my zed from their Nottingham branch. Nice guys there. One thing I will say is that it was advertised as a 1 owner car and when I got there I found it was actually a 2 owner car. Didn't put me off, don't think it was deliberate but maybe double check with them on the details before seeing a car.

Double check everything with them on the phone before wasting a trip. I feel like they would say anything to get you to come down.

This is all from personal experience when enquiring about a 370. One guy said it was immaculate and then when I spoke to another guy the next day before I set off he said it needed some bodywork...

I visited the Peterborough showroom when looking at 350's, can only describe the experience extremely disappointing, nice showroom but a @*!# attitude. I wouldn't believe a word they said regarding condition etc, they describe there vehicles as mint and when you view there's damage etc and there reply is its all repairable to mint condition. I tried to book a test drive in one of there cars and was told I would only get a test drive when a deal was agreed and deposit taken. Unless you live 5 minutes away I wouldn't bother it will probably be a complete waste of your time.

I recently searched and found a 370 and even though they had a couple for sale I never bothered to travel the 25 miles to be talked to like I was a complete Muppet. During my search's for the 350 and the 370 I regularly travelled 2 to 3 hours to view cars but never found a showroom who could match there @*!# sales experience. Good luck with your search.

I'd read about this garage several years before tophooker had his experience

but saying that, no-one ever posts good reviews - its always the bad reviews that get noticed

Dont bother with the red 370z they currently have in Nottingham.

Described to me as immaculate and worth a 60 mile trip to see it.

When I got there it had a huge dent in the drivers door (300 mm long, 80mm high, 10-15 mm deep)

The sales girl said "Oh That ! well its not been prepped for sale yet we'll fix it, we are in the trade."

Keys handed back 60 mile drive home!!

No probs. ;)

It's usually worth checking out the Zeds for sale on here as there are usually a few. :Dhttp://www.350z-uk.com/forum/51-zeds-for-sale/

Plus if you buy from long term forum members then you're more likely to get a loved good condition Zed from someone who at least has half a clue about how these car's should be looked after & maintained. :)

will do...not sure abouth the black badges tho...is that the cool thing to do with the 350?

Well I don't think it's cool but some do obviously. It's each to there own with any mods on any car tbh. ;)

I wouldn't worry about that though as they are easily replaceable for OEM ones or some silver version's and those black ones will easily sell afterwards if you didn't want them. Maybe someone on here would even do you a swap for their standard ones. :D

id just try and remember that in general.....most of the time......but I cant be sure......dealers dont stock gash cars just for the sake of it.

Get someone local to have a mooch over it and forget about the garage itself.

They could be stocking a peach but one crappy sales man puts everyone off.

I got my 350z from their Peterborough branch. They pretty helpful and accommodating when we visited them traded our old car with them.

The problem we had was after the sale took place. We negotiated 6 months free tax and we were also told they would pay for the private transfer cost and send off the log book to change the details.

We drove around for 10 days with out a tax disc and when we called them to find out where it was, we was told it was on their desk and they would post it. It did turn up 2 days later, but it was hand written and not printed, as they said the would tax it the next day directly with the DVLA.

We also received a letter from the DVLA the other day saying we would receive penalties as our old car had no insurance, we haven't owned it since November?!

Yes, the previous owners of Caroline's Zed had obviously not been bothered about where it was parked, it had about 5 small dings in each door which I asked them to fix. They did fix them before we picked it up as well as a couple of other paint issues but it seems to be a general policy of dealers that they won't fix minor blemishes unless you ask them to  .

Did you not send off the change of ownership part of the V5. The part that you should have retained to send to the DVLA showing that you sold the car to them ?
