GC350z Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 Saw this the other day except it said Dubai. Anyway did you notice the gas tank appeared to rupture on that last car that rolled. Guy Quote
sl114 Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Ive seen that so many times and i can never work out why it is happening. Either the Russians cannot drive, or there is some serious wind in that tunnel catching loads of people out. Quote
Pingu2 Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 This is the Tunnel of Death it is a tunnel in Russia near Poland. There is a river running over the tunnel and water leaks at some points. When the temperature reaches nearly 0°C like it does in winter in Russia, the road freezes and becomes as slippery as ...well...ice. The result is the attached video which was taken during a single day with the tunnel surveillance camera. Quote

jonathan73 Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I reckon all the crashes were a conspiracy by the Royal Family and/or government in order to add credence to Diana's crash. Yours, Mo. Al Fayed Quote
Stew Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I can't view it as youtube is blocked here. However, having lived in Russia for two years I can state that they can't drive. They drive the same way year round, the roads department is the best I've seen in the world but not changing your driving style from summer (+30 - 40* in the region I lived) to winter (-30 - -50* in the region I lived) is asking for trouble! sinbad Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 This has been around for a while, scary stuff though!! Quote

Underground is always much warmer than above ground afaik. weird Quote
sinbad Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 There has to be some air flow through there, so i guess it could be wind/chill factor thats bringing the temps down. Quote
GC350z Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Maybe, just maybe, they are all just @*!# drivers. Quote
Kev946 Posted July 16, 2007 Author Posted July 16, 2007 I guess -30C should be enought to freeze water in a tunnel.. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/4626862.stm Quote

polarbear Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Tunnel vision (no pun intended) must be a contributor too - it is so easy to lose concentration and before you know it Quote
