Flashers

Being a new Z owner, is it customary to flash other Zed's, like noddin at other motorbikes

 

Dont wanna be seen as a naughty non flasher

Yup, I prefer to wave though as it's less distracting for other road users.

i flash other 350Z, 370Z and GTR drivers. Gives a sense of family. Always nice to get a return flash as well.

I tend to look at the car and make a call on whether there will be any flash or not. Normally if there is any sort of modifications I would flash if not I would have a look and see if there is any notice my way

I flash all the time and never get a response. Probably think I am nuts but o well!

Never flash 350 owners. All set of dbags. I used to flash any 172/182 owners they ALWAYS used to wave or flash etc even the girls. The 350 drivers just ignore you or look like your mental. I actually spoke to a guy who owns one. He wasn't busy or anything and he was just rude. Never had that from any other drivers even porsche drivers!

Always a flash or a wave from me if I'm in one of the Zs and neither is a 350 or a 370. 90% of the time I get a flash back too, which is great. Z cars didn't start with the 350 and it's nice when you see 350 owners who know that. I've had 350 owners come up to me in car parks and talk to me too, it's how I met Ken for the first time lol

I always flash or wave... But had couple if times when I was day dreaming and didn't flash/wave till last moment, which might of been a bit late for other driver to see!

Well, I had my first Z flash yesteray

 

At first I thought, what's that ***** flashing at then realised it was a z, put my hand up just in time

When I used to own a proper car (Citroen 2CV6) All 2CV owners would wave and flash, much to the delight of my 2 young daughters at that time. I find it a bit hit n miss with a Z

Still haven't seen another Z but had the car less than a week. I will be flashing if I see one

Seen a few zeds on the road and always Flash. Never hads response though.

 

Gave someone a thumbs up in a GT3 recently, I still remember the look of horror/disgust as he drove past.

The second i got my zed and joined the motorway a black zed drove past, slowed down and put his thumb up. I then returned and he shot off.

I normally wave at other 350 drivers but only if I catch their attention (being bright yellow helps ).

 

Some people seem to get a bit freaked out by it like the bloke in Harpenden the other day. Both of us sat in traffic going opposite ways, When we got pretty much level I looked over to give a wave but he straight up blanked me. You know that look when they know you are looking at them, but they pretend you are not there. Never mind.

 

Of the handful of times I've seen other 350's probably 80% have waved/flashed back.

When I had my MR2 though, pretty much any other MR2 owner would flash or wave.
