Luke0549 Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Just bought this for £1 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321194157586?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 just to really see what will happen. Legally, would they have to sell it to me? 1 Quote
ioneabee Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 technically - yes but ....................... who would persue it so your name is Phil ?????, not Luke Quote
Luke0549 Posted August 26, 2013 Author Posted August 26, 2013 Like I said, just to see what would happen. His for sale title says £1,000,000. Think that's optimistic! 1 Quote
sloutrou Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Read this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/gds/LEGAL-ADVICE-REGARDS-BUYING-AND-SELLING-/10000000001449898/g.html Your bid is legally binding, and you can sue him if he doesn't complete his side of the sale. Quote
ioneabee Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 ^^ what I said - but who'd bother at £1 Quote
sloutrou Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Sorry I jumped the gun - it's £30 for the court summons fee, which is approximately £29 more than the item is worth lol Quote
Luke0549 Posted August 26, 2013 Author Posted August 26, 2013 For £30, could be worth a shot? If won, could easily sell for profit?! Quote
WhackyWill Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 (edited) For £30, could be worth a shot? If won, could easily sell for profit?! It is currently registered on a Jag XF V6 Auto Diesel Registered on 08/09/2010. So its currently on a car. I think this could be somebody winding up the Jag owner by trying to sell his registration. But good luck if you get it..!! Edited August 26, 2013 by WhackyWill Quote

Vik54 Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 Has anyone asked the seller if they are simply selling a 'plate' - or is the buyer going to become the 'grantee' or sell full rights? Dan put your wooden spoon away! Quote
