I was thinking of doing them colour coded, mine's gun metal so was thinking of spraying the same...although having seen everyone's attempts i may go the matte black route!...to be safe!!

Dont do it! Black all the way! 

 

I used hammerite in the end on Mine.

or a wheel refurbisher.. although by the time you pay for that you might be better just buying new arms off one of the traders.

 

It really is an easy job.

  1. Sand off with wet and dry (whilst wet), clean arms and let dry.
  2. Prime wait 20 mins prime again
  3. Let dry and go watch the tv
  4. Spray with matt black, wait 20 mins spray again
  5. Let dry and go watch the tv
  6. Turn over and spray the back 
  7. Let dry and go watch the tv
  8. Refit

Hey Fellsteruk, thanks for the guide.....it enabled a completely inept person like me to successfully respray his wiper arms :-)

Not perfect as there are slight ridges where I obviously didn't sand the pain back enough in all areas, but other than that I am really happy with it.....you can't notice the imperfections unless you are stood less than a metre away
