Looking great Lexx!

I think the ZX's suit a much wider range of rim styles than the threefiddy's for some reason, just down to the shape of the car I guess.

Got a mid level spoiler fitted to mine yesterday...will update my thread on my tatty old Zed soon :)

Reasons not to buy Japspeed products number 384729:

Removed the decats off my car yesterday as I'm not a fan of the sound. The above shows that someone went at the offside one with a lump hammer to make it fit. And it was still tight up against the floor pan.

Side by side it's clear to see that the offside one has been made at a completely different angle to the nearside. They should be the same.

First proper project on the car complete.

My 300 only has key operated central locking from the drivers door. And the barrel is 18 yrs old and a little iffy. I've got a new lock on order, but in the short term I decided to punt £30 on a remote locking kit.

SO I purchased this:

Spent the day ripping out half the drivers side interior and running cables.

This is now my fancy pair of keys:

Brought the car into the 21st century a bit I feel. lol

Cool and worthwhile mod buddy,it must of been a pain i remember doing the same on my civic pressed the button to open the door and my brake lights were flashing lol hope yours went in trouble free

Some of it was a pain. Mainly running the wires into the door, and then finding the indicator wiring. But no major hitches.

Love having a flip key.

Great work! Might have to pinch your idea and give that a go as the lock on the passenger door on my z32 is shot too. I'm guessing the kit was off good old eBay?

Bought it from a company called rclick.

I've done a write up/ how too over on co.uk if you have a look.

That's essentially what I'll be going for looks wise. Though in Midnight Purple. And a 99 spec front nose

Good to hear man, these look fantastic super clean and have aged very well for the styling.

I'm very jealous of this car.

What are parts like to get over here, just like OEM perishables and stuff ?

Posted

There's a couple of good sources for new OEM parts in UK. And plenty of breakers to get parts from.

Massive market in the US so loads of parts available from there too.

Agree with suits- I prefer a stance where you can see the full wheel and tyre and I wouldn't go for that style or gold.... But that's got sooo much potential

Lexx get it done!

There's a lovely LWB one in the UK in MP1. That's the inspiration.

Taking the car down to Zed world in 2 weeks time for a full inspection and maintenance plan.

Any expensive mods are on hold due to saving for a house extension. But plan to keep on top of essential items regardless of cost.
