downhuman Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 So, after much thought I went with shadow chrome for my Rays. Thanks to Alex at the Wheel Specialist, East Grinstead I got a price match with their main competitor + wheel waxing and chrome valve chucked in. So pleased with the look - moody and awesome. Pics below - apologies for dirt but this is after driving home today ... more to follow once cleaned up again - when summer arrives! Appreciate comments as struggled to get pics of anyone with shadow chrome on a black 350z 2 Quote
Paddy78 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Awesome job, they look like new! Can't recommend the wheel specialist highly enough! 1 Quote
downhuman Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) Can't wait to get her clean again and take proper pics including those 'in the light' when they're darker Edited May 30, 2013 by downhuman Quote
downhuman Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Oh and they weren't scuffed at all - only small amounts of lacquer flake Quote
kbeast35 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 they look thought that they would look a little darker but as you say its probably the light Quote
Paddy78 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Mine were trashed when I took them in to get refurb'd, loads of curbing and had started to corrode... previous owner honest Smoked chrome, but similar result. Like I said, can't rate the guys enough! Quote

Tinyflier Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I agree, they do a great job and Alex is sooooo patient! Easter time they refurbed mine, I thought long and hard about shadow chrome but went for one of their metallic silvers and flush valves instead. Very happy with their "de-kerbing" and powder coating work. David Quote
MartynB85 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I've just had my Rays refurbed today by the wheel specialist, the one in Birmingham though Quote

Dayy Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 They look great. I wish mine were in as good of a condition as that. Speaking of which, I am looking at getting mine refurbed soon. I don't suppose there is anyone in the North West you guys can recommend? (specifically close to Warrington). Quote
