It's hard to see what these lunatics think they'll achieve. As if our foreign policy is decided by the poor victim or even the people of the UK. You'd maybe understand it more if they kidnapped an MP or something, but this sort of thing simply gives people like Cameron the ammo they need to justify the continuing war on terror/sending troops wherever/shipping arms to wherever.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of endangering an aircraft after a plane was escorted to the ground by fighter jets.

 

The British nationals were led off the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane by armed police officers, after it was diverted to Stansted Airport following a disturbance in the cabin.

 

Superintendent Darrin Tomkins of Essex Police confirmed a threat was made as the plane, flying from Lahore to Manchester with 297 passengers on board, was preparing to land.

 

According to Pakistan's Express News, one of the passengers claimed there were explosives on the plane, although Supt Tomkins said no suspicious items have been found.

I've just spoken to my best mate who was a school teacher at the school one of these guys attended, he is completely and utterly shocked. He said he was a great lad from a good family and an intelligent boy, he said to me "if they can turn a guy like this then they can turn anyone". My eldest nephew also new of him and said much the same, it seems there is a feeling of disbelief and incredulity by people who knew him when he was much younger.

One plus point from this horrific sickening cowardly attack is that the Help For Heroes website actually crashed because it's been inundated with people trying to give money . My heart goes out to the family and friends .
