Vlad Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 Another little update. Decided to change interier a little bit. Took out my aftermarket steering wheel with quick release and replaced it back with OEM...but send OEM wheel to Jack@Royal Steering Wheels and he is done an amazing job. Had it reprofiled with: - Alcantara top and bottom - Smooth leather on sides - Flat bottom - Red stitching - Red ribbon at 12 o'clock - Steering controls covers carbon dipped by Ricey. Also replaced my "Sparco Rev" bucket seats with "OMP Design 2" recliners.... and they are really comfy Before: After 1 Quote
cov350z Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 they look nice bud clearly going for comfort now over race style what you doing with the old wheel set up ? (wink, wink) Quote
Vlad Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 (edited) Not sure what I'm going for at the moment, just wanted a change haha Old seats are gone to my mate week before my new ones arrived Edited November 13, 2015 by Vlad Quote
Ceejay29 Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Looks great Vlad. I can imagine that the driving position is much nicer with the oem wheel? I find my deep dish with slim boss and quick release hub sits far too close to me. I can nearly push the horn with my nipples... Quote

Now need to get used back to OEM. At the moment its not perfect as i can't push seat as fa back as i want due to cage being in the way...but its not too bad and i will get used to it 1 Quote
350 Russ Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 What mounts did you use on the seats and how high do they leave the seat? I've read that some raise it up too much. I'm looking at getting a set of corbeau rrb's for mine and I don't want to raise them up higher than stock Quote

I could be wrong as i got rid of my OEM seats about 2-3years ago, so cant exactly remember how low they were. Quote
djtimo Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Nice build thread! I have managed to miss this one too!! Love the nissan wheel retrim! Whats the plans for the car next man? Quote
Vlad Posted December 28, 2015 Author Posted December 28, 2015 (edited) Haha looks like we both missed something lol Thanks man! I just did roof lining in black alcantara...such a small thing to do, but took ages as I completely forgot that I have half-cage and there are pretty much no gap between roof and cage, so was a nightmare taking it out and fitting it back in lol but did it lol Next thing is to under seal the car...so gonna strip everything from underneath and hopefully while it's all off - will replace some/most of the bushes, new sway bars, new brake lines and may be some more/new undercar bracing. Quite like your blasted/painted arms, so might do that as well. It's gonna be going pretty slow now as can't spend as much money anymore on it as want to buy a house pretty soon lol Adult life hey Edited December 28, 2015 by Vlad Quote
Dicaprio Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 oh.. got a bit excitted about new wheels and completely forgot about my previous update... new suspension Was really happy with my HSDs, but then Keyser decided to rape my wallet ones again with his bargains... and i couldn't resist as always So a trip to Zed shed and came back home with full car of stuff including couple of very generous presents Main update is swapping HSD coilovers to Tein with EDFC. All out R Rears in Yep, understood, no problemo! EDFC hooked up ^^ Carbon wrapped side panel since then to hide them holes from knee-pad... will get smother out and hydro-dipped eventually Finished (picture taken straght after, so suspenion not fully settled in) Feel a significant difference in coilovers! Even tho i was happy with HSDs - im even more happy now with Teins! Just need to fit camber arms now and upgrade to poly bushes! Also got retractable cubby - which needs to be dipped prior fitting and got spare roof lining - which im planing to wrap in black alcantara. It never stops vlad where did u get your bonnet? 1 Quote

Leosille Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Did you contact them or do they contact you? Amazing though will have to pop in a shop and have a read! Quote
Vlad Posted April 20, 2016 Author Posted April 20, 2016 I commented on one of their Facebook posts to have my car posted on one of the pages in the mag, where you have like 10 cars on 1 page, but instead they messaged me asking to do photo shoot for a full on feature, which I was really happy about and couldn't refuse Quote
