Adrian@TORQEN Posted September 26, 2012 Author Posted September 26, 2012 I will, but different! Quote
4RE Leather Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 I think it's very unfair that I am not in a position to pre -guess what your doing. I trust the suspension bits were placed on my car and not yours! I want some white wrap samples lol. I'll give you different! And why are you using my mums old wallpaper on your car? Quote
Wasso Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Nice one Adrian looking good with that spoiler, not sure I like the arms attached to it though mate, not very good for airflow etc. Just to indicate the change from your previously brushed intake to now polished. Quote
Wasso Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Brushed = Lazy man's polished I can tell you exactly why they are brushed. When polishing I found a number of issues with the aluminium, from small dings in the metal to scrapes and so on. It seems they brush them if the polished versions are rejected through their system. The brushing is fairly deep too. Also keeping brushed Alu clean would be a nightmare. Quote
4RE Leather Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Ian certainly has the knack of polishing up ya dull bits! Quote
Wasso Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Ian certainly has the knack of polishing up ya dull bits! Thanks Peter Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted September 26, 2012 Author Posted September 26, 2012 The spraying, suspensions, wheels, callipers and the engine bay should be completed by the end of the week. 3-4 weeks later we can start the last bit, the vinyl wrapping. In between I'll do the interior bits, including the Google Nexus 7 in the cubby, replacing the old android tablet. Quote
4RE Leather Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Ian certainly has the knack of polishing up ya dull bits! Thanks Peter Wish it could be done to HR then I could get rid of that plastic lid! Quote
Ian Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Why are you respraying it only to wrap over it? Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted September 26, 2012 Author Posted September 26, 2012 I had 23.5 billion stone chips from Wales on the front bonnet, cracked front bumper and 2 dents on the passenger door. I wanted the car paint to be in pristine condition before wrapping it, which also will protect the paint. Also, stone chips would have caused lots of bubbles in the wrap... Quote
Wasso Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Ian certainly has the knack of polishing up ya dull bits! Thanks Peter Wish it could be done to HR then I could get rid of that plastic lid! What is in fact under the plastic on a HR, I'm guessing a plenum but never seen a bare one? Ooooerr! Quote
