Not chromed, polished it's also the spokes he's looking at changing, not the lip.

Jay, i vote go for the colours... orange or green for sure - if you're getting it slammed.

 

...if it does look wrong you can always refurb them back to a neutral colour. It'll only be £200 to find out.
