Hi all,

Ive been thinking about getting a cooling plate (that sits above the radiator).

I have seen many different options available but I just can't decide what looks best;

Brushed,

Mirror polished,

Body coloured,

Etc,

Or possible starting off a colour theme for the engine bay.

What have others gone for? I have added a vote (including some colours - feel free to add to this list). Any help/advice welcome.

Thanks

I'm liking the red and black theme there Coldel B)

Not going to answer until you put an option for green :p

You did say what would YOU do - well if I didn't have CF I'd go green

Done...

I'm currently making a prototype aluminium one which will be anodised and available in many different colours. Matt black would be cool, so is Titanium but I'm thinking about going balls out with anodised purple B)

Looks pretty cool, have you done it yourself then?

Thats a good thing, you want the air to come in via the front grill as its colder

yeah, i can see that but surely if you go for the one that extends all the way across you want the panel to be shaped over the air in duct otherwise half the air will be drawn from above the panel?

Otherwise the panels like yours would be better as there is a seal that sits above the rad on the bonnet which would effectively mean all the air taken is from the cold side?

Hi coldel what type of paint did you use to do your engine bay? Is it heat resistant? Easy to do or were there several processes to go through eg primer, gloss paint, lacquer or some type of clear coat or gloss protector?? Cheers

All depends on your personal taste doesn't it and the theme you have in mind.

With my modifications, I want to keep a certain stock look about it, so under the bonnet im going Carbon. Same colour (black) as standard so wont look out of place but just tidier.

Want the polished ones that the club use to sell but for some reason they have stopped doing them. :(

If I had one with my name on you could have had it :winkiss:

I would of had it in a heart beat Dave ;)
