msisleman Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Hi, After being spotted in the spotted forum I thought I'd better stop lurking and introduce myself. I've had an Indy Yellow Honda S2000 for 2 and a half years and fancied a change. An UY GT4 came up for sale nearby and I couldn't resist, so I bought it on monday last week. Through the p*ss taking and ribbing I've had from family, friends and colleagues about having some sort of yellow car fetish, I've done about 500miles this week (commuting, back roads, general hooning) and am very impressed. I could write a long drawn out review on the way it compares to the S2000, but to cut a long story short, I prefer the Datsun. I live near Braintree, Essex and work in Basildon. If you see an UY in Essex on your travels then give me a wave! Craig. Quote

bronzee Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Through the p*ss taking and ribbing I've had from family, friends and colleagues about having some sort of yellow car fetish, Note to self, don't mention y.....ell... ow. Welcome to the forum. Most people don't have the guts to drive a yellow car. Used to have a Sunburst yellow S15, everyone used rib me about the colour, then sold got the Sunset, then they miss the yellow. Go figure. Enjoy! .....personally i d love a yellow zed. So would I. Only one in NZ I'd own, the only NZ new UY. Quote
pbomb Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 . Zed looks . Nearly bought an s2000 myself, great cars Quote
msisleman Posted June 27, 2012 Author Posted June 27, 2012 Thanks everyone. Really enjoying her, done approximately 600 miles since I got it 9 days ago. So far the only teething issues have been the common clicky rear axles (which I will sort soon) and the Bose CD player skips a couple of times when I first turn it on. Standard stuff then!! Quote
msisleman Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 A few photos since getting the wheels refurbed in dark anthracite. Quote
