Lexx
But first check that the garage just ain't trying to pull a fast one regarding the clutch you have already supplied. Do some research on the part numbers etc.
glrnet
+1000, I seem to remember this happening before to someone else and Alex sorted it out. Paddy78
Yep, can't recommend him highly enough. I needed a new clutch slave cylinder and some other parts recently. I ordered Thursday evening and they were delivered on Monday!
Neilp
As said above... Zmanalex will sell you the exact same parts nissan supply, The exedy clutch and LUK flywheel for a third of the price. The HR engine has a slightly different clutch to the earlier DE engines. Most people opt for a lightweight fidanza flywheel which makes the engine rev a little easier but also produces light chatter at lower rpm which sometimes puts people off
sunshine
I purchased an excedy oem clutch kit and luk oem duel mass flywheel on eBay recently for £460, fitted them myself last weekend, took around 6 hours and tbh it's transformed the car, feels like new. Greekman
Be super extra careful as the hr clutch is slightly different to the de as Neil said. The weak point is the concentric slave cylinder. You can fit a de engine clutch but the tolerance between the clutch and the slave cylinder will be bigger and will allow more play on the slave. I had my slave cylinder 4-5 times changed now at 45k!!! It's an expensive and rather unpleasant experience to have. The exedy clutch is fantastic and very durable and the fidanza flywheel improves engine response. Just make sure it's exactly the same with the stock around the inner hole. KyleR
Did they tell you exactly why it's the wrong clutch?
spursmaddave
+ loads on the Fidanza flywheel
Christian350z
****Status Update**** Thanks for everyones quick replays. The garage said the parts are wrong, they quickly identified that the parts were for a pre facelift 350z which has the DE engine where as i have the slightly newer HR engine. The garage is pretty good, iv been going to them for years, i trust them. So i rang the company that supplied the parts and told them what the garage told me, they were sure that they had sent me the right parts. So i got the supplying company to ring the garage and talk it over. The company then rang me back and told me they had sent the wrong parts and i should send back the wrong bits to exchange them for the right ones. This is as far as iv got, the parts are already on there way back so that they can be exchanged. Hopefully he dose have the right bits, if he dosnt i will be have to "PM Zmanlex". Ill keep everyone up to date with the outcome. If it turns out alright i will tell everyone the name of the company so it can be used, if this doesn't go to plan i will not be giving them any forum publicity. Clown
To be fair, it sounds like they are dealing with it pretty well. They have admitted all their mistakes and are taking steps to rectify it.
ZMANALEX
Unfortunately they will not be able to supply a dual mass fly for an HR at the same price as the DE and the clutch kit is more expensive as well and it does not come with a new clutch release bearing. KyleR
Well hopefully they already charged him for the Dual mass HR and just sent the wrong bits, and he'll get new shiny ones for no extra charge soon

A refund is probably all that the OP will get. Good luck
Christian350z
*****Update****** Clutch and flywheel bad news My options were £560 from clutch specialist or £1900 from nissan. I took the specialist option. The specialist sent me all the wrong parts 3 times in a row, they still said they could get the right parts and kept me waiting with my car on the ramps. In the end they kept avoiding me and my calls because they couldn't come up with the parts and my car was in peaces. After my car was sat on the ramps for 9 weeks i gave in and bought the parts from nissan The specialist still hasn't given me my money back. Having to go to court. WARNING: Never use TechniClutch. They can't provide for the nissan 350z, they will lie, cheat and steal your money.

I've never priced clutches from him but i'm certain he could have got it for quite a bit cheaper than that...
Christian350z
The 2007+ 350z's with the HR engine use a different flywheel, this flywheel is rare for some reason. I'm sure zmanalex could of got me a slightly better deal but i needed a flywheel fast so i just went for the nissan one.
