I think the Zeds will be ok...... its quite difficult to slide under and get the Cats off with out jacking the car up  I bet 4x4's and higher cars are more of a target.

I think someone on here said £120.00 scrap value :)

Typical, just as I book the car in to get Berks fitted this weekend  How much are the stock cats worth anyway?

Most of the thefts are from places like Legoland. Citroen's are apparently a very easy target as well as 4 x4's. Legoland have upped there security but it appears their CCTV coverage is not up to scratch. TVP are on the case but apparently the thieves only need a couple of minutes and they are dressed up to imitate the AA and the RAC so most people don't give them a second thought.

I imagine the 350 is similar to the 370, you need access to the engine compartment to get the cats on or off, requires a couple of pipes from the air box moved, oh and a big mahoosive ramp

Be quicker to tow the car off

Somewhat missing the point........

Height issues aside, they are removing the cats for scrap value, not to sell all pretty and polished.

Angle grinder or ripsaw do the deed in seconds, they're not concerned about lifting the bonnet and easing all the nuts for half an hour whilst they put a brew on.

you cant get near the bolts with a grinder im afraid... unless its long and skinny, easier to take the ss exhaust

Not the bolts, straight through the pipe. :bangin:

thatd mean leaving half the cat on the engine, maybe more.... waste of time if you ask me, may aswell drill the wheel bolts out and steel the wheels with all the noise the grinder would be making

That'll not draw any attention eh, probably notice when they come through the living room to the kitchen to put the kettle on though
