still made in china though

why the face? You expect them to make reasonbly priced cars here?

why not others manage it?

I surprised BMW are setting up a new plant in England, but high tax, vat, high costs of staff and all costs that go with staff e.g. holiday pay and all that makes it hard for them to do business here.

be a real shame though. its something we're actually quiet good at, ok the main car manufacturing might suffer, but the bespoke stuff like the motorsport technology will grow, as its not a mass market, people will pay the premium for the skilled people in the UK to build it/design it etc as they are some of the best in the world.

I agree, but when you look at the politics of the UK, Labour is broke and now heavily funded by unions (not meaning to turn this into a polictal debate) but if they get back in and do what they usually do there will be no manufactoring.

In the US if they need anything done to their car there is alot of people catering for the car market but we dont seem to have that market?

I hope these are nothing like the middle aged mg's like the mgzr I thought they where horrible.

I hate it when the ads tease you by not showing any shots of the WHOLE car unless it's a quick flash or blurry shot.

There is one on sale at a nearby garage and I have to say it looks such a bland and boring car in my own opinion.

Not sure what they were thinking of when designing it!
