your last day... never what you wish it was

you know how we all say "on my last day I'm going to ..." punch so and so, or put laxative in my bosses tea

well in reality, like me today, we rarely get to enjoy the last day feeling the way we want. I'm stuck doing loads of work for the next guy... bugger.

maybe I'm just too nice, anyone actually gone through with it and wiped their arse on someone else's chair?

A bit of me says "why bother", leave under a good light, but the other side says, "rim the bosses cup", which on reflection should be carried out on a daily basis

The best way to leave would be after a big lottery win or similar, to then drift into the carpark with your new Ferrari/Aston whatever, park in a totally discourtious fashion, go into the bosses office and in front of him, get your knob out and **** all over his desk, zip up, go make yourself a cup of tea and start your days tasks.

Do all this while dressed in a smoking jacket and slippers, with a basque on underneath

I thought from the thread title you were going to kill yourself, very hardcore thread!

I've left loads of jobs, I like to move around, I found it difficult but nearly always a relief. I hate a fuss tho and usually try to sneak away. Never done anything cool on my last day tho :-(

But hey, you're not dying!

When you got to go... you got to go!! Whatever the reason we all move on, nothing ever stays the same. I worked for a company for the best part of twenty years and on leaving realised I would never be in that position again, not because I didn't want to be but for other reasons like age, industry collapse and just .... well it's a long time in one place.

Since then I only look at shorter forecasts.

He's moving into my department and becoming my PA :p .

P didn't you say you would drop a turd on your bosses desk if you won the lottery, literally climb on their desk in front of them and do a number 2?! :yuck:

I loved leaving my last company. They spent hours upon hours drumming into us that the outside world was a big bad place and that anyone who tried to leave and set up their own company always failed and always came begging for their old job back. They brainwashed everyone into thinking their company was the only way to make a living in our industry.

Six months after leaving, I turned up in my Gallardo to say 'hello' to my old work mates
