s14akw Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 hi guys, thought id get a wee discussion thread going on the subject of everyones top ten mods to do to the 350z. would be good for new zed owners for ideas on how to get started with modifying their zed Quote
Ricey Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Being as its the only mod I've done (until Dan gets his spanner out and whips his pop charger and slam plate off!!!).........stubby for the gangly OEM aerial!. Doesn't sound major but even the missus said she thought it looked miles better Quote
s14akw Posted October 12, 2010 Author Posted October 12, 2010 must agree mate, oem looks ridiculous Quote
Greekman Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 this thread will end up very 'interesting' again lol a bit too general a subject m8. it would be better if you gave a budget and more info like road use, show car or track weapon etc etc. Quote
s14akw Posted October 12, 2010 Author Posted October 12, 2010 no i wanted to leave it open so that we are not always just discussing looks or power but we combine everyones different views on the possibilities for our zeds Quote
Greekman Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 ok. does a body kit count as a single mod or several? Quote
Ricey Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Maybe best to keep a running list and approx cost as people suggest/agree with them. Then a newbie can keep track in case the thread does run off track eg 1. Stubby for OEM aerial (s2000 is a pretty decent fit - mine cost about £12 off ebay) Quote
s14akw Posted October 12, 2010 Author Posted October 12, 2010 ok fair play mate, your inputs appreciated, when you back up this way for a trackday btw Quote
Greekman Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 ok fair play mate, your inputs appreciated, when you back up this way for a trackday btw now it has to be after your heavy winter as for the mods...i love my aerial...and its signal. sorry - Coilovers...i am running HKS hypermax sport 3 and they are fab! - Amuse front bumper and chargespeed rear look the best imo - after market exhaust and hi-flow cats for sound - uprev all the way and a drop in filter (the last shouldnt count as a mod) - full gt spec bracing kit. and i mean full. dont overlook the fender bracings. they are a must have (spacers on stock rims shouldnt count as a mod) now you look ok you sound fab and you go even better and then the rest - disks, pads, lines - uprated anti roll bars - lsd - adjustable camber front and rear arms - rear spoiler (you wont need a front one with the amuse bumper) - side skirts - alloys - plenum spacer for pre-08 (ideally with the uprev and drop in filter) - lightweight flywheel when new clutch is needed - led rear lights - post-08 headlights - bride seats - decent headunit and speakers - nice dinky and heavy gear knob - etc etc etc.............. Wasso Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 1. Stubby for OEM aerial (s2000 is a pretty decent fit - mine cost about £12 off ebay) 2. Sell the Zed and get a GTR simples... Husky Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 blue i have red i dont but think would be good in no particular order: after market wheels (OR spacers on OEM) good quality tyres weekend DIY detailing clear front reflectors lowering brakes upgrade plenum spacer driver training dial colour change aftermarket exhaust Quote

JetSet Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Just 2 mods for me so far.. 1 Nurrish SatNav 2 Nismo V1 Replica Rear Spoiler. Next up in 2011 will be 3 Spacers 4 Rear Light Cluster After that Front Spoiler or Splitter? Rear Bumper? And that leads me to a quick question, are there any front bumpers other than the originals that have the headlight washer holes cut in them? My understanding is that its a legal requirement to have them on any car with HID lights, not sure if its an MOT requirement though??? Pete Quote
