Thought I would start a thread, especially for ME

Putting down all the alterations and findings I have on and about my 350Z.

Never know, someone might read it someday and learn something from it!

So, when I first saw the car, it was on Autotrader. Looking like this....

350Z, GT, Gun Metal Grey, 66k, CAI (Pop Charger), 19" alloy wheels.

Note the Exhaust (Which was a K1) and the lovely allow wheels.

When I went to see the car, I didn't notice the exhaust was back to standard. But driving it so far (and hearing out other K1's) I am happy he put it back to normal!

Managed to get this baby for £8300 (08/2010)

More info to come...

Its an import. I rang the guy about it when it was advertised.......it had a massive rear-ender so he replace it with a UK bumper.

:teeth: Only kidding. Admit it Slimjim.......You kacked your self!

It's a little odd if they also replaced the front bumper as well and it has traction control, I thought only UK models had these, in fact I'm almost certain ....

ANYWAY... Also spotted the wheels, although they look good, they are the "wrong size. Basically, they are too thin, as the offset it wrong.

Need to sort out some better rear tires to make up for it... (As I am tail happy at the moment with these pants tires on, even WITH ECS ON!)

She was pretty filthy ... (As Joh pointed out) so a few days later (after driving her a little) I took her to my folks and got my old man to help me clean her up.

He (thinks he) is good at cleaning them up... didn't do a bad job, took us 5 hours mind!

The eagle eyed (well, to be fair it is OBVIOUS) peeps amongst you may have noticed the missing badge...

Got one in the post, should be here soon..

The REAL eagle eyed peeps will have noticed my first mod....

Before I shipped my old SEAT Leon to WBAC.com I whipped the S2000 "stubby" off it and wopped it onto the new car.

Save a couple of quid! :D

Did another "mod" today....

My boot takes two attempts to open, SO....

Went out and bought some 13mm round foam pads, which are about 2-3mm thick.

Stuck one of these on each of the rubber boot supports on the bottom/inside of my boot... and Voilà!

The boot now opens in one click.... classic! :yahoo:

is your front bumper a blade?

:bangin: someone posted up a while back the scientific reason why we/cameras see the differing shades and not helped by Nissan's infamous paint quality but when you look at the pic below you could almost ask the question is the front bumper GM and the rest of the car Blade, in that particular lighting condition?

Turns out my paintwork IS all GM :D

Stuck a replacment Z badge on this morning, as there was a missing one when I bought her...

Other additions... some new rear tyres, as the ones I had on were totally the WRONG size...

Allows are still wrong, but this should make them better...

TRACKING!!!

Spent £45 to get here tracked.... the rears were out SIX mil!!! 6mm!!!!

HOW can you have new alloys/Tyres on your motor and NOT notice such an alteration?

I mean the steering wheel was 5 degrees out!!!

so how's it driving now?

Only done 5 miles back from the tyre place... but she feels COMPLETELY different.

SO SO much more stable, sitting well, steering wheel is STRAIGHT.... not 5 degree out!

How can you NOT notice that when you have new alloys or spacers on? :scare:

Like the car I always wanted her to be... just have to let the tyres bed in.... then I might get back up to the Horseshoe pass! :teeth:
