M13KYF Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 A motorist had a narrow escape after he reversed his car through a brick wall on the seventh floor of a multi-storey car park. The 67-year-old driver got his foot stuck between the brake pedal and the accelerator as he tried to reverse into a spot in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His white Mercedes C-class immediately shot backwards, picking up enough speed to smash through the external wall of the Bank of America multi-storey. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldne ... -park.html Quote
JT1703 Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 That wall must be paper thin ... there is hardly any rear end damage as far as I can see !?! Quote
Chesterfield Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Shocked that there isnt a steel barrier running behind the cars to prevent them knocking/loosening brickwork. Quote
Stew Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Fooooking hell! If it was a toyota they'd be blaming the sticky throttle! Quote
R35LEE Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Can't be true as there is no damage to the merc Quote
bounty78 Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 My next car will be a Merc then ..very well built like a Volvo Quote
nixy Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 surely that's a photoshop? If not then A. What an amazingly built car and B. as that kind of accident is quite common its totally negligent to have walls that crap! Quote
ATTAK Z Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 ............ as that kind of accident is quite common its totally negligent to have walls that crap! pleeeeeeeeaaaaaase don't get me started on explaining about the flexural strength of masonry !!! Quote
nixy Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 im sure you'd never design anything i could reverse through! Quote
geoff-r Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Could be photoshopped but then it could be a rubbish wall, they don't make em like they used to. Quote
rtbiscuit Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 suprisingly easy to punture through a sinter block wall Quote
bronzee Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 looks awfully photoshopped to me If it's chopped, there's been a lot of attention to detail with all the little bits of debris scattered hither and yon. Quote
