In hospital and bored

Got admitted at 3.30 with suspected apendicitis, was suffering the night before, but my colleages at work made me go home and see the doctor. Got seen last night and this morning was told I need a scan. Been waiting all day, just found out it won't be till tomorrow. Am on a drip and haven't eaten in 36 hours. Pains not so bad but I'm so bored. Have finished Reading the whole evo mag. Thankfully Lucy has just brought my phone, so I now have Internet acess. Glad I can now get some entertainment on here

i fully sympathise. i was in for just a couple of days a few weeks ago and it felt more like a couple of weeks. its just so boring

I'm nil by mouth haven't eaten in 36 hours just had some more injections. Would love a kfc :-(

I would trade your overnight stay in hospital with my 7 weeks (so far) in bed with leg raised in the air, any day of the week!

Sungod I feel for you, forget sometimes there are sometimes people worse off. As for food once I've been scanned they should know if I need surgery. Then I'll have an idea. If surgery is iminent then no food, but if I have to wait then I get some food.

Nil by mouth sucks mate - cant you even have a drink of water? I had my appendix out a few years ago, but that was an emergency opp as they had ruptured

 

Make sure you get a fit nurse to give you a nice bed bath

Really feel for you & hope it gets sorted soon. Just hope they don't say its a rumbling appendix & boot you out until next time.
